Tsmoki-Minsk was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-18 charge of JSF Nanterre, which allowed them to win the game. JSF Nanterre had a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: 3Eye) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. American Jamal Shuler (191-86, college: VCU) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Mikita Meshcharakou (201-88, college: Wake Forest) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Betaland Cdo dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Avtodor's 36. Betaland Cdo forced 19 Avtodor turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Polish-Italian power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and French Damien Inglis (204-95, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Movil Estudiantes dominated on the defensive end, holding Groningen to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Movil Estudiantes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists by American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard) did not help to save the game for Groningen.
