Belarus overcame the Baltic side in Panevezys in a friendly campaign. The winners needed two overtimes to seal the victory. Latvia started with 15:11 lead at the end of the first period and played better in the second quarter as well. The Baltic representative added 16-10 in the second frame for 10-point deficit at the halftime. The rest of the game however belonged to Belarus NT. The latter won the third quarter 19-12 and added 18-13 in the fourth period to win by two. Moreover that friendly game was extended to two more extra times where Belarus celebrated a 6-4 and 10-9 victories. Alexandra Tarasava (170-PG-88) top-scored for the winners with 12 points and Katerina Snytsina (188-F-85) nailed 11. Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-C-87)and Tatsiana Likhatorovich followed them with 6 points apiece. Anda Eibele (170-G-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with 12 points in the losing effort. Ieva Krastina (175-G/F-90, agency: LBM Management) notched 10, whilst Liene Jansone (191-F/C-81, college: Siena) scored 8.

In another game Poland needs two overtimes to beat Ukraine in Day 1 of the international Tournament Zloty Sokol. The hosts of the tournament grabbed an 87:83 win over Ukraine in their opener.
