HUNGARY - BELARUS 62-59

Hungary did a great job against Belarus last night. The hosts celebrated 62-59 victory for 3-2 record in Group A of the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications. At the same time it was the first loss for Belarus, who stays No.1 in the pool with 4-1 score. Hungary was up 59-50 with less than 4 minutes remaining in the game. Visitors came closer soon, but after Alexandria Quigley made it 62-57 to Hungary, Tatyana Troina (188-F-81, college: S.Carolina) came up empty with a three-pointer for Belarus, and a late jump-shot was too little too late for the visitors. Quarters: 16-11, 17-16, 13-17, 16-15. Dora Horti (195-C-87, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) led the winners with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Allie Quigley (180-G-86, college: De Paul) scored 14 points and Katalin Honti (175-G-87) helped with two less. In the loosing squad, Tatyana Troina collected 20 points and 7 rebs. Alexandra Tarasava (170-PG-88) scored 15 and Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-C-87) added 12 points, plus 9 rebs. Hungary will take a rest in Round 7, while Belarus will host Portugal.
