Russia U20 beat Belarus U20 in Istanbul at the International Tournament. The Russian team improved to 1-1 record after 74:63 victory.
Belarus won the first period 19-15, but the Russian team tied the score at the halftime producing 22-18 in the second period. Moreover the second half fully belonged to the winners. They won the third period 16-13 and then added 21-13 in the last stanza.
Alina Zamaraeva (180-SG-93) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Karina Nizamova (170-PG-92) nailed 14. Mariya Davydova (189-F/C-93) and Alexandra Stolyar (178-G-92) delivered 10 points apiece. Maryia Filonchyk (187-PF-92) finished the game with 35 points in the losing effort as Belarus fell at 0-2 record. Natallia Baklaha (172-PG-93) and Aliaksandra Musatava (174-SG-92) scored 7 points each in defeat.
In another game Turkey U20 won the second straight game at home International Tournament in Istanbul. The hosts overcame Sweden U20 67:58 for 2-0 record. The Scandinavian team meanwhile dropped at 1-1.
