Belarus clinched the initial win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They upset Portugal on the road to improve at 1-3 record in Group F. Portugal remained winless at 0-4. Artsiom Parakhouski (210-C-87, college: Radford) came up with 19 points to lead the visitors.
Belarus started the game strong. They got away at 13-point distance after ten minutes 28:15. Portugal however stopped the rot in the second quarter. The hosts narrowed the deficit at just 7-point mark at halftime 37:44. Artsiom Parakhouski quickly restored an 11-point lead for the visitors in the third quarter. However Portugal almost denied it getting within just one 57:58 at the final intermission. Aliaksandr Pustahvar (203-SF-85, agency: RU-Basket Management) and Stiggers gave Belarus a 67:57 lead early in the final stanza. The hosts did not surrender and trimmed the deficit at just five-point mark with under two minutes remaining. Aliaksandr Pustahvar accounted for key four points in the dying seconds to seal the victory for Belarus. Aliaksandr Pustahvar delivered 13 points, while Aliaksei Trastsinetski (200-SF-86) added 10 points for the winners. Mario Fernandes (174-PG-82) answered with 19 points for Portugal. Claudio Fonseca (206-C-89) netted 15 points in the loss.

Premier League Round 28: Vitebsk lose to Grodno-93 in the game between Top 4 teams - 3 hours ago
Coincidentally all visitors won their games. The game between Top Four teams took place in Vitebsk. 4th ranked host Vitebsk (15-11) was smashed by first ranked Grodno-93 (24-2) 90-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vitebsk. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Vitebsk managed to win third quarter 22-18. Zahar's double-double lands him Player of the Week award - 5 days ago
24-year old Genadziy Zahar (200-SF-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for Impuls BGUIR and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26. He had a double-double of 32 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat COR-Borisfen (#2, 20-2) 90-82. Impuls BGUIR maintains the 5th position in Belarusian league.
