It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in Premier League, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the Premier League took place in Grodno. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (2-2) to top-ranked Grodno-93 (3-0) 65-62 on Friday evening. Tsmoki-Minsk II trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 62-65 at the end of the game. The former international swingman Uladzimir Charko (200-74) fired 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Kanstantin Yafremov (202-86, agency: Promotex) chipped in 12 points. Grodno-93's coach Andrei Vasileuka used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Grodno-93 have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record. Tsmoki-Minsk II at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Grodno-93 are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Svisloch (#7) in Osipovichi in the next round where they are favorite. Tsmoki-Minsk II will have a break next round.
The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Sozh Gomel (3-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Impuls BGUIR (1-2). Sozh Gomel smashed Impuls BGUIR 100-57. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Sergei Miakinin contributed with 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Henadziy Zakhar (198-92) replied with 7 points and 11 rebounds for Impuls BGUIR. Impuls BGUIR's coach Fedor Rodenko gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sozh Gomel maintains second position with 3-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Grodno-93. Impuls BGUIR at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. Sozh Gomel will play against Borisfen (#6) in Mogilev in the next round. Impuls BGUIR will play at home against Rubon in Vitebsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 4 Borisfen was crushed by Rubon in Vitebsk 101-70.


Impuls BGUIR - Sozh Gomel 57-100

The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Sozh Gomel (3-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Impuls BGUIR (1-2). Sozh Gomel smashed Impuls BGUIR 100-57. The game without a history. Sozh Gomel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Impuls BGUIR's 30. Sozh Gomel forced 20 Impuls BGUIR turnovers and outrebounded them 48-30 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Ukrainian power forward Sergei Miakinin (206-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Sozh Gomel players scored in double figures. Henadziy Zakhar (198-92) replied with 7 points and 11 rebounds and guard Kiril Volodkin (190-91) added 15 points in the effort for Impuls BGUIR. Impuls BGUIR's coach Fedor Rodenko gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Rubon - Borisfen 101-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Borisfen's (1-3) road loss to fifth ranked Rubon (2-1) 70-101. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. Borisfen was better in fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon shot 63.3 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Rubon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Borisfen was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Dmitri Akulich (190-86) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Dimitri Sivalko (199-85) contributed with 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Akulich is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rubon players scored in double figures. Guard Sergey Tatur (195-91) replied with 14 points and 5 assists and forward Evgeny Batvenkov (198-80) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Borisfen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rubon moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Borisfen keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Rubon will play against Impuls BGUIR (#5) in Minsk in the next round. Borisfen will play at home against the league's second-placed Sozh Gomel to get more than just one victory in their record.

What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. The game in Brest was quite interesting. Sixth ranked BSEU-GrandPrint (8-18) played at the court of 8th ranked Brest (4-22). BSEU-GrandPrint managed to secure a 9-point victory 72-63 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 38-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game.
