Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Tsmoki-Minsk II, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 20-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Svisloch (#7, 1-6) 77-69. Tsmoki-Minsk II maintains the 4th position in Belarusian Premier League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tsmoki-Minsk II will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. Rutkauskas turned to be Tsmoki-Minsk II's top player in his first season with the team. Ronaldas Rutkauskas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.4ppg), rebounds (5th best: 7.0rpg) and averages impressive 71.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Henadziy Zakhar (198-SF-92) of Impuls BGUIR. Zakhar had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Impuls BGUIR to edge slightly lower-ranked Borisfen (#6, 1-6) 88-83. This victory allowed Impuls BGUIR to move up to 5th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Impuls BGUIR managed to get this year. Zakhar is one of the most experienced players at Impuls BGUIR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.8ppg (#6). He also registered 8.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international guard Maksim Shustau (188-G-86) of Svisloch (#7). Shustau scored 25 points. Despite Shustau's great performance Svisloch lost 69-77 to the higher-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (#4, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Svisloch can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Shustau he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Shustau has individually a great season in Belarus. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (3rd best) and assists with 5.7apg (3rd best). He also has 2.9spg and FGP: 52.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Siarhei Charykau (185-PG-82) of Sozh Gomel - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87) of Sozh Gomel - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Yuriy Ignatiev (198-F-91) of Impuls BGUIR - 16 points and 7 rebounds
7. Sergey Tatur (195-G-91) of Borisfen - 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Yaraslau Kurapau (200-F-91) of Tsmoki-Minsk II - 9 points and 13 rebounds
9. Pavel Bliznets (210-C-94) of Sozh Gomel - 16 points and 5 rebounds
10. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83) of Sozh Gomel - 11 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
