Kiryl Sitnik
Kiril Sitnik (190-G-89) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Sozh Gomel and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 33 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Sozh Gomel in his team's victory, helping them to crush Svisloch (#7, 1-8) with 25-point margin 94-69. Sozh Gomel maintains the 2nd position in Belarusian Premier League. They are still close to the very top. Sozh Gomel would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Sitnik had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Sozh Gomel's top player in his first season with the team. Sitnik has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.5ppg. Sitnik is in league's top in assists (7th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 3.3spg,68.5% FGP and 46.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-F-92) of Tsmoki-Minsk II. Rutkauskas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Tsmoki-Minsk II lost that game 63-87 to slightly higher-ranked Rubon (#3, 6-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tsmoki-Minsk II still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 4-4 record is not bad at all. Rutkauskas is a newcomer at Tsmoki-Minsk II and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.6ppg (#2). He also registered 8.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was former international forward Kanstantin Yafremov (202-F-86, agency: Promotex) of top-ranked Grodno-93. Yafremov scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Grodno-93, leading his team to a 106-45 easy win against the lower-ranked Borisfen (#6, 1-7). Grodno-93 have amazing season winning all 8 games without a single defeat. Yafremov turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Yafremov has a great season in Belarus. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.5rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dmitri Akulich (190-G-86) of Rubon - 22 points and 6 assists
5. Evgeni Ivanov (202-G/F-84) of Grodno-93 - 16 points and 2 rebounds
6. Anton Indrikov (193-G-87) of Rubon - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Yury Mishukov (205-C-85) of Grodno-93 - 17 points and 8 rebounds
8. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83) of Sozh Gomel - 9 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Siarhei Charykau (185-PG-82) of Sozh Gomel - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Pavel Shuleyko (200-F-88) of Svisloch - 12 points

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
