The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Impuls BGUIR (#5) and Tsmoki-Minsk II (#4). Impuls BGUIR (3-6) won against visiting Tsmoki-Minsk II (4-5) 75-70. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 24-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Impuls BGUIR forced 48 Tsmoki-Minsk II turnovers. Strangely Tsmoki-Minsk II outrebounded Impuls BGUIR 54-20 including a 42-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Henadziy Zakhar (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Swingman Denis Azaare (196-92) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 24 rebounds for Tsmoki-Minsk II. Tsmoki-Minsk II's coach Tadas Stockus rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Impuls BGUIR maintains fifth position with 3-6 record. Tsmoki-Minsk II at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Impuls BGUIR are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sozh Gomel on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tsmoki-Minsk II will play against the league's leader Grodno-93 and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Grodno-93 (9-0) which hosted in Grodno their biggest opponent Sozh Gomel (7-2). Top-ranked Grodno-93 managed to get a 12-point victory 90-78. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sozh Gomel. The former international center Yury Mishukov (205-85) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Artem Malkov chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Grodno-93's coach Andrei Vasileuka allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Ukrainian forward Sergei Dadukin (198-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Undefeated Grodno-93 have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Sozh Gomel at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Grodno-93 will play against Tsmoki-Minsk II (#4) on the road in the next round. Sozh Gomel will play against Impuls BGUIR in Minsk and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Svisloch managed to get a second victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Borisfen in Osipovichi 82-66. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 16-point difference suggests that Svisloch is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Pavel Shuleyko notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by Artsiom Sharamet did not help to save the game for Borisfen. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Svisloch (2-8) moved-up to sixth place. Borisfen lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Svisloch will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Borisfen will play against Rubon (#3) in Vitebsk.
