We bring you last week's top performances from Belarusians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Vladimir Veremeenko
Vladimir Veremeenko
#1. This week's number one is former international forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, currently plays in VTB United League). He was the major contributor in an Unics Kazan's victory against the sixth-ranked BC Astana (3-4) 70-54 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. Veremeenko scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in 23 minutes on the court. Unics Kazan (6-2) is placed third in group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Veremeenko's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 9.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2FGP: 63.4%(26-41) and FT: 88.0% in the eight games he played so far. Veremeenko has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian. He played for the Belarusian senior national team five years ago.

Vitali Liutych
Vitali Liutych
#2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Vitali Liutych (198-92, currently plays in Baltic League). Liutych led his Lithuanian team Siauliai to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Naglis Palangos (3-4) crushing them 86-47 in the Baltic League last Tuesday. He scored 12 points. BC Siauliai (6-2) is placed second in group A. There are only two games left until the end of the Baltic League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Liutych has relatively good stats this season: 10.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 70.3%(26-37), 3FGP: 30.8% and FT: 64.7%. He is in the roster of the Belarusian senior national team.

Artsiom Parakhouski
Artsiom Parakhouski
#3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford, currently plays in Turkey). Parakhouski led Olin Edirne to a victory against the closely-ranked Erdemir (3-6) 91-82 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. He scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Parakhouski's third season in pro basketball. Olin Edirne Basketball (3-6) is placed tenth in the TBL. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Parakhouski is ranked second on the list of the best blockers in the league with 1.4bpg. This year his other stats are: 10.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 65.6%(42-64) and FT: 44.8% in the nine games. Parakhouski is also a member of the Belarusian senior national team.

Mikita Meshcharakou
Mikita Meshcharakou
#4. Small forward Mikita Meshcharakou (202-88, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Sigma Barcellona (7-3) 76-61 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Acegas Aps Trieste (5-4) is placed ninth in the Lega2. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Meshcharakou's overall stats this year are: 8.9ppg and 3.8rpg. He is also Belarusian national team player.

Aleh Kojenets
Aleh Kojenets
#5. An experienced former international center Aleh Kojenets (208-77, college: NC-Wilmington, currently plays in Lithuania) contributed to a 2-point Mazeikiai's victory against the eighth-ranked Meresta (10-8) 94-92 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) last Friday. Kojenets had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds in 29 minutes. Mazeikiai (14-4) is placed first in the NKL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Kojenets has relatively solid stats: 12.0ppg and 4.1rpg in the 16 games. He used to play for the Belarusian national team three years ago.

Dante Stiggers
Dante Stiggers
#6. Point guard Dante Stiggers (188-82, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A could not help Apoel (4-3) to beat AEL (2-5). He recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 38 minutes. Apoel was edged in a double overtime (!!!) 85-84 at home by the one of league's weakest teams (#7) AEL. Stiggers is currently fifth on the league's list of best passers and also on the list of most steals (first place). This year his overall stats are: 9.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.7apg and 2.6spg in the seven games. Stiggers is a naturalized American. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Belarusian National Team roster. Stiggers used to play for BK Minsk-2006 in Belarusian league.

The list of other players, who all have Belarusian passport but never been selected to any of Belarusian national teams:

#1. Yivgeni Lioutrine (200-C-88, currently plays in Israel) led Elitzur Yavne to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Ironi Nahariya (5-3) crushing them 103-65 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. Lioutrine scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Elitzur Yavne (6-2) is placed third in the National League. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Lioutrine's first year with the team. His overall stats this season are: 6.6ppg and 3.5rpg. Lioutrine has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Israeli. Despite his Belarusian passport, Lioutrine previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Belarusian team.

#2. Sergey Karpov (200-F-80, currently plays in Russia), who plays in the Russian Superlaegue (second division) could not help Sojuz Zaretchny (2-7) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Sojuz Zaretchny was defeated 99-85 on the road by the higher-ranked Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (#10). Karpov was the second best scorer with 15 points. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Karpov's total stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.1apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Russian.

#3. Valentin Yurchyk (207-F-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in VTB United League) was not able to help BC Nizhny Novgorod (4-4) in their game against CSKA Moscow (7-1) in the VTB United League. Yurchyk recorded only 4 points in 11 minutes. The sixth-placed BC Nizhny Novgorod was crushed 83-60 in Moscow by the leading CSKA in the group B of VTB United League. This year Yurchyk averages just 2.0ppg in the seven games he played so far. He has both Belarusian and Russian nationalities.

#4. Vladi Yeremishin (201-F/C-84, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan to win against the league outsider Maccabi Kiryat Bialik (1-7) crushing them 94-59 in the Israeli National League (second division) in Tuesday night's game. His total stats this year are: 2.7ppg and 1.6rpg. Yeremishin also holds two passports: Belarusian and Israeli.

#5. Igor Suhinin contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked AltajBasket (6-4) crushing them 87-65 in the Russian Superleague (second division) last Friday.
