Here is the weekly review of the top performing Belarusian players, who play currently abroad.

Vitali Liutych
Vitali Liutych
#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Vitali Liutych (198-92, currently plays in Baltic League). He led his Lithuanian team Siauliai to a victory over the fifth-ranked TTU (2-8) crushing them 94-58 in the Baltic League in Friday night's game. Liutych was MVP of the game. He recorded 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes on the court. BC Siauliai (8-2) is placed second in group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Baltic League. Liutych has relatively good stats this year: 11.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 65.4%(34-52) and FT: 62.5% in the nine games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Belarusian senior national team.

Vladimir Veremeenko
Vladimir Veremeenko
#2. Second place goes to former international forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, currently plays in VTB United League). Veremeenko was the major contributor in an Unics Kazan's victory against the sixth-ranked BC Astana (4-4) 70-54 in the VTB United League last Sunday. He scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Unics Kazan (7-2) is placed second in group A. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Veremeenko's fifth season with the team. This year Veremeenko averages: 9.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 2FGP: 63.6%(28-44) and FT: 86.2%. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian. Veremeenko played for the Belarusian national team in 2007.

Dante Stiggers
Dante Stiggers
#3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Dante Stiggers (188-82, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Cyprus). He was the main contributor in Apoel's victory against the closely-ranked Keravnos (6-2) 64-51 in the Cypriot Division A on Friday night. Stiggers was the best player in that game. He scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 32 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Cytavision Apoel Nicosia (5-3) is placed third in the Division A. It's Stiggers' first season with the team. Stiggers belongs to league's best passers (ranked #5) and also on the list of most steals (first place). He has very reliable stats this year: 10.8ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.5apg, 2.4spg, 2FGP: 51.7%, 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 77.8% in the eight games. Stiggers is a naturalized American. He is also a member of the Belarusian senior national team. Stiggers used to play for BK Minsk-2006 in Belarusian league.

Mikita Meshcharakou
Mikita Meshcharakou
#4. Small forward Mikita Meshcharakou (202-88, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an AcegasAps TR's victory against the 12th-ranked Prima Veroli (3-8) 81-67 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Meshcharakou's first season in pro basketball. Acegas Aps Trieste (6-4) is placed seventh in the Lega2. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Meshcharakou's overall stats this year are: 9.6ppg and 4.4rpg. He is also Belarusian national team player.

Aleh Kojenets
Aleh Kojenets
#5. An experienced former international center Aleh Kojenets (208-77, college: NC-Wilmington, currently plays in Lithuania) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Perlas-MRU (9-11) 90-74 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) last Saturday. Kojenets scored 18 points in 25 minutes. Mazeikiai (16-4) is placed first in the NKL. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Kojenets has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg and 3.9rpg in the 18 games. He used to play for the Belarusian national team three years ago.

Artsiom Parakhouski
Artsiom Parakhouski
#6. Center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL could not help Olin Edirne (3-7) to beat TED Kolejliler (5-5). Parakhouski did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Olin Edirne was defeated 76-70 at home by the higher-ranked TED Kolejliler (#7). But the season just started, so everything may happen. Parakhouski is ranked second on the list of the best blockers in the league. His overall stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.2apg and 1.4bpg. Parakhouski is an international player who is currently on the senior Belarusian National Team roster.

The list of other players, who all have Belarusian passport but never been selected to any of Belarusian national teams:

#1. Yivgeni Lioutrine (200-C-88, currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) could not help Elitzur Yavne (6-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance Elitzur Yavne lost 74-89 at home to the much lower-ranked (#11) Maccabi K/G. Lioutrine scored 11 points in a mere 19 minutes. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Lioutrine's overall stats are: 7.1ppg and 3.4rpg in the nine games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Israeli. Despite Lioutrine's Belarusian passport, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Belarusian team.

#2. Vladi Yeremishin (201-F/C-84, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Kiryat Tivon (1-8) crushing them 97-77 in the Israeli National League (second division) last Tuesday. Yeremishin scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan (6-3) is placed fifth in the National League. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Yeremishin's overall stats this season are: 3.4ppg and 2.3rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Israeli. Despite Yeremishin's Belarusian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli university national team and probably cannot be called to the Belarusian team.

#3. Valentin Yurchyk (207-F-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in VTB United League) was not able to help BC Nizhny Novgorod (4-5) in their game against Zalgiris (7-1) in the VTB United League. Yurchyk cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points in 7 minutes on the court. The seventh-placed BC Nizhny Novgorod was badly defeated 76-58 on the road by the second-ranked Zalgiris in the group B of VTB United League. It was BC Nizhny Novgorod's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Yurchyk averages just 2.0ppg in the eight games. He has both Belarusian and Russian nationalities.

#4. Igor Suhinin contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Severstal (3-8) 83-66 in the Russian Superleague (second division) in Thursday night's game. Suhinin scored 7 points. BC Rjazan (7-4) is placed fourth in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Suhinin averages only 5.5ppg.

#5. Sergey Karpov (200-F-80, currently plays in Russia) was not able to secure a victory for Sojuz Zaretchny (2-8) in their game against Spartak Vidnoye (1-9) in the Russian Superlaegue (second division). He scored only 4 points in 14 minutes. Sojuz Zaretchny lost 73-86 on their home court in Zaretchny to the league outsider (#15) Spartak Vidnoye. It was Sojuz Zaretchny's fifth consecutive loss in a row. This year Karpov's overall stats are: 7.3ppg and 1.6rpg in the nine games. He also holds two passports: Belarusian and Russian.

The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. The game between Top Four teams took place in Mogilev. Second ranked host COR-Borisfen (26-2) defeated 3rd ranked Tsmoki II (18-12) 77-71. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points.
