Ukrainian power forward Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Sozh Gomel, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (40 points, nine rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Tsmoki-Minsk II (#4, 5-7) with 26-point margin 99-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sozh Gomel maintains the 2nd position in Belarusian Premier League. They are still close to the very top. Sozh Gomel would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Miakinin had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sozh Gomel's top player in his first season with the team. Sergei Miakinin has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.9ppg), rebounds (9th best: 6.1rpg) and averages impressive 66.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Aliaksandr Semianiuk (207-F-93) of Tsmoki-Minsk II. Semianiuk had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Tsmoki-Minsk II lost that game 73-99 to slightly higher-ranked Sozh Gomel (#2, 10-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tsmoki-Minsk II still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Semianiuk is a newcomer at Tsmoki-Minsk II, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.8ppg (#6). He also registered 8.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Russian guard Anton Indrikov (193-G-87) of Rubon (#3). Indrikov scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of Rubon, leading his team to a 77-63 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Svisloch (#5, 3-9). Rubon needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Indrikov has a very solid season. In 12 games in Belarus he scored 11.0ppg.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) tabbed 26-year old American guard Devon Saddler (183-95kg-91, college: Delaware). He played most recently at JP-Auto Jaszbereny KSE in Hungarian A Division. In 16 games he averaged impressive 16.6ppg, 2.6rpg and 4.9apg last season. Saddler also played that season for Egis Kormend (also in A Division) where in 10 games he had 11.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.5apg.
