SBK Olimpia Grodno (Premier League) agreed terms with 28-year old Serbian ex-international center Nevena Saponjic (186-85). She just played at BCM Bega Danzio Timisoara in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 8 games this season she had 6.8ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.9apg. The last season Saponjic played at ChemCats Chemnitz in German DBBL. In four games last year she recorded 6.0ppg and 5.0rpg. The previous (10-11) season she played at BCT Alexandria in Liga Nationala. In 29 games that season she was third best scorer with impressive 16.7ppg and averaged 10.0rpg (#4 in the league), 1.5apg and 1.4spg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Honorable Mention, All-Bosmans Team and to the All-Star Game. Saponjic played in the final of Serbian League in 2010. She was also a member of Serbian international program for some years. Saponjic played for Serbian Senior National Team last year and previouslyfor University National Team in 2009. She represented Serbia at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 1.5ppg, 1.3rpg. Saponjic has played also professionally in Serbia (ZKK Vrsac and Usce).

Poland meanwhile celebrated the title with 2-1 record. Poland clinched the top pace even before the game against Belarus and started with 17-15 in the first period. Belarus however won the second frame 15-10 and took 3-point halftime advantage. Moreover the guests limited Poland to just 6 points in the third quarter and increased to 13 points after 3 quarters. Poland won the last stanza 16-14 and reduced to final 60:49. Katerina Snytsina (188-F-85) top-scored for the winners with 10 points, while Haradzetskaya, Tatsiana Likhtarovich (180-G/F-88, agency: LBM Management) and Papova nailed 9 each. Tarasava followed them with 8 points in a win. Paulina Misiek (182-F-87, agency: Promotex) and Magdalena Leciejewska (191-C-86) answered with 8 points each in the losing effort. Idczak brought 7, while Agnieszka Majewska (195-C-82) poured in 6.
