Very significant was Olimpia GrGAU's (#1, 9-0) victory against second-best Tsmoki-Minsk (8-2) 58-43. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Tsmoki-Minsk. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpia GrGAU. Tsmoki-Minsk managed to win third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tsmoki-Minsk to just 5 points in first quarter. Olimpia GrGAU held Tsmoki-Minsk to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Olimpia GrGAU forced 20 Tsmoki-Minsk turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Russian-Ukrainian center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 15 rebounds and the former international Maryia Filonchyk (187-92) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian center Alina Iordan (190-88) with 7 points and 8 rebounds. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Nikolay Buzlyakov rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Olimpia GrGAU (9-0) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Tsmoki-Minsk at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Gorizont. Olimpia GrGAU are looking forward to face Berezina-RCOR (#4) in Borisovo in the next round. Tsmoki-Minsk's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Gorizont.

Gorizont's coach Anatoly Buyalskiy felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by guard Irina Chubkavets (184-91) did not help to save the game for Berezina-RCOR. Gorizont have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion (8-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Berezina-RCOR at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk Tsmoki-Minsk.
Fifth ranked Sozh Gomel (4-7) crushed at home 6th ranked Victoria-UOR (2-9) by 35 points 106-71, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Olga Kopylova who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Coach Anatol Rogozenko's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Natallia Pratskaila who recorded 19 points. Sozh Gomel maintains fifth position with 4-7 record. Victoria-UOR lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. Sozh Gomel will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Victoria-UOR will play against BrGU COR Victoria (#7) in Brest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

New York Liberty waived 32-year old Belarusian international guard Lindsey Harding (173-63kg-84, college: Duke). She played there also last season. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) signed 17-year old domestic guard Alexandra Shevchenko (176-99). She has played for the last two seasons at RGUOR Minsk (Premier League). In 18 games she had just 2.6ppg and 2.3rpg last season. Shevchenko helped her team to make it to the League Semifinals in 2016. She has played also professionally in Belarus (Belarussian U16 Team).
