Miakinin
Ukrainian Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Sozh Gomel and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 26-year old power forward had the game-high 36 points adding five rebounds for Sozh Gomel in his team's victory, helping them to crush Rubon (#3, 8-5) with 25-point margin 94-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sozh Gomel maintains the 2nd position in Belarusian Premier League. They are still close to the very top. Sozh Gomel would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 11-2 record. In the team's last game Miakinin had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Sozh Gomel's top player in his first season with the team. Miakinin has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (7th best: 6.0rpg) and averages solid 67.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Henadziy Zakhar (198-SF-92) of Impuls BGUIR. Zakhar impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he lead Impuls BGUIR to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Borisfen (#7, 1-12) 80-58. This victory allowed Impuls BGUIR to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-9 record. Zakhar is one of the most experienced players at Impuls BGUIR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#4). He also registered 8.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Lithuanian Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-F-92) of Tsmoki-Minsk II (#4). Rutkauskas scored 25 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Tsmoki-Minsk II, leading his team to a 76-67 win against slightly lower-ranked Svisloch (#6, 3-10). The chances of Tsmoki-Minsk II ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Rutkauskas could help Tsmoki-Minsk II to bring them higher in the standings. Rutkauskas has a great season in Belarus. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.5ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 10.2rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aliaksandr Semianiuk (207-F-93) of Tsmoki-Minsk II - 18 points and 14 rebounds
5. Dmitri Akulich (190-G-86) of Rubon - 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Viktar Ilyukevich (203-C/F-94) of Rubon - 11 points and 11 rebounds
7. Kiril Sitnik (190-G-89) of Sozh Gomel - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Kiril Volodkin (190-G-91) of Impuls BGUIR - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Evgeni Sugonyako (198-F-92) of Tsmoki-Minsk II - 25 points and 8 rebounds
10. Denis Azaare (196-G/F-92) of Impuls BGUIR - 15 points

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
