Here is the weekly review of the top performing Belarusian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Vitali Liutych (198-92, currently plays in Lithuania). He contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Naglis Palangos (0-12) crushing them 106-81 in the Lithuanian LKL in Saturday night's game. Liutych scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes on the court. BC Siauliai (7-4) is placed third in the LKL. This year Liutych averages: 8.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 2FGP: 57.6%(19-33), 3FGP: 35.3% and FT: 64.7% in the eight games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Belarusian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international small forward Mikita Meshcharakou (202-88, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division). Meshcharakou could not help AcegasAps TR (8-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance AcegasAps TR was defeated 70-58 on the road by the league outsider Aget Service IM (#15). Meshcharakou was the top scorer with 14 points. He also added 9 rebounds. It's Meshcharakou's first season with the team. Meshcharakou's overall stats this year are: 8.8ppg, 4.5rpg, 2FGP: 43.7%, 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 87.5%. He is in the roster of the Belarusian senior national team.

   #3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, currently plays in VTB United League). Veremeenko was not able to help Unics Kazan (8-4) in their game against Lietuvos rytas (6-6) in the VTB United League. He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 13 minutes. The fourth-placed Unics Kazan lost 80-87 in Vilnius to the lower-ranked (#6) Lietuvos rytas in the group A of VTB United League. Veremeenko is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Unics Kazan's roster. This season Veremeenko's overall stats are: 8.4ppg, 4.7rpg, 2FGP: 63.3%(31-49) and FT: 85.7% in the 11 games. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian. Veremeenko played for the Belarusian national team six years ago.

Center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Olin Edirne (3-12) in their game against Fenerbahce Ulker (13-2) in the Turkish TBL. Despite his good performance in Sunday night's game He scored 11 points. Parakhouski belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #2. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.1ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.1apg and 1.7bpg. Parakhouski is also Belarusian national team player.

   #5. Former international center Aleh Kojenets (208-77, college: NC-Wilmington, currently plays in Lithuania) led Mazeikiai to a victory against the eighth-ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (15-11) 83-73 in the Lithuanian NKL (second division) last Friday. He recorded 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 32 minutes. Mazeikiai (21-5) is placed first in the NKL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Kojenets has relatively good stats this year: 11.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.1apg in the 24 games. He used to play for the Belarusian national team four years ago.

   #6. Guard Maksim Shustau (188-86, currently plays in Russia) couldn't help Sojuz Zaretchny (3-13) in their game against AltajBasket (9-7) in the Russian Superlaegue (second division). Despite his very good performance on Saturday night Shustau was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. This season Shustau has relatively solid stats: 14.0ppg, 3.3rpg and 3.3apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Belarusian senior team five years ago.

   #7. International center Mikalai Aliakseyeu (210-78, agency: TSS Management, college: Buffalo, currently plays in Iran) contributed to a Shahrdari Gorgan's victory against the league outsider Naft Sepahan (3-12) 80-74 in the Iranian Superleague on Sunday night. He scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 34 minutes. It was his first game for Shahrdari Gorgan this season. His team is placed sixth in the Superleague. It was Shahrdari Gorgan's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Aliakseyeu is also Belarusian national team player.

   #8. Point guard Dante Stiggers (188-82, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Cyprus) couldn't help Apoel (2-6) in their game against Etha (10-4) in the Cypriot Division A. He scored 6 points. Apoel was edged 71-70 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Etha (#3). The Regular Season already ended. Stiggers is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league and also on the list of most steals (second place). His total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.5apg and 2.4spg. Stiggers is a naturalized American. He plays currently for the Belarusian national team. Stiggers used to play for BK Minsk-2006 in Belarusian league.


The list of other players, who all have Belarusian passport but never been selected to any of Belarusian national teams:

   #1. Yivgeni Lioutrine (200-C-88, currently plays in Israel) led Elitzur Yavne to an easy victory against the league outsider Maccabi Kiryat Bialik (1-12) crushing them 89-67 in the Israeli National League (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Lioutrine recorded 13 points in only a mere 14 minutes. Elitzur Yavne (9-4) is placed fourth in the National League. This year Lioutrine's total stats are: 8.6ppg and 3.6rpg in the 13 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Israeli. Despite Lioutrine's Belarusian passport, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Belarusian team.

   #2. Igor Suhinin, who plays in the Russian Superleague (second division) could not help Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (6-10) to beat Ataman (10-6). Suhinin scored 8 points, grabbed 5 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals. Planeta-Universitet Ukhta was badly defeated 106-90 on the road by the much higher-ranked Ataman (#4). Suhinin's total stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.3apg and 1.7spg.

   #3. Experienced Sergey Karpov (200-F-80, currently plays in Russia) was not able to help Sojuz Zaretchny (3-13) in their game against AltajBasket (9-7) in the Russian Superlaegue (second division). He scored 6 points in 20 minutes. Sojuz Zaretchny lost 64-76 in Barnau to the much higher-ranked (#7) AltajBasket. This year Karpov's total stats are: 6.9ppg and 1.8rpg in the 15 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Russian.

Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) confirmed in their roster 29-year old international forward Mikita Meshcharakou (201-104kg-88, college: Wake Forest). He played there last season. Meshcharakou managed to play in three leagues last year. In 6 Premier League games he had 11.5ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) and the cup (also twice). COR-Borisfen Mogilev (Premier League) hired 42-year old coach Andrei Krivonos from Tsmoki-Minsk. Krivonos has coached there for the last nine years. He helped them to win the cup. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Krivonos was voted Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Coach of the Year back in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. Xuven Cambados (LEB Silver) landed 26-year old Belarusian center Vladzimir Krysevich (209-110kg-91). He played most recently at BSEU-GrandPrint in Belarusian Premier League. In two games he averaged 6.5ppg and 6.0rpg last season. Krysevich also played that season for Galitos-Barreiro in Portuguese LPB where in 14 games he had 3.0ppg and 2.1rpg.
