Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old Lithuanian forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-98kg-85, college: William & Mary). He played most recently at Vytautas in Lithuanian LKL league. In 41 games he recorded 13.1ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.7apg and 1.4spg last season. He helped them to make it to the Lithuanian Cup Semifinals. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Honorable Mention. Kisielius also played 14 games in Baltic League where he averaged impressive 15.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 4.5apg and 1.5spg (in top 5). A very good season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Baltic League Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Baltic League European Player of the Year and Forward of the Year. The previous (14-15) season he played at Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys (LKL) in Lithuanian league. In 34 games he averaged 12.8ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg in 2014-15 season. Kisielius also played 11 games in Baltic League where he averaged 11.8ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.8apg in 2014-15 season. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. It was a very successful season as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Baltic League Honorable Mention. Kisielius played in the final of Baltic League in 2014. He was a member of Lithuanian U20 National Team between 2005 and 2006. Kisielius is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany (Duesseldorf Baskets), Latvia (Liepaja/Triobet), Ukraine and Lithuania (Nevezis and Juventus). Kisielius attended College of William & Mary until 2008 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball. The scouts decsribe him following way:
Laimonas has the size, consistent three-points shot and well developed fade away shot to be a huge threat at the small forward position, ball handling skills and court vision of a point guard, the jumper to take over at the shooting guard spot and his back to the basket skills to rotate as power forward. Laimis is a very creative, consistent scorer at the same time truly team player. He has a rare combination of ability that allows him to shoot the ball well with range while also playing with his back to the basket. Laimis loves to break his man down off the dribble and pull up for NBA range three-pointers as his ball handling ability is just as advanced as his jump shot. He can also put the ball on the floor to take it to the rack or create space for his jump shot off the dribble. He maneuvers his way to the basket like a guard, and possesses great body control. Laimis is able to find the open man and deliver the ball with precision. Given his size and quick first step he can easily get around slower players. He uses his great basketball IQ on shot selection and rarely make mistakes. On the defensive end Laimis is quick enough to lockdown smaller guards and big enough to guard post players.
