We bring you last week's top performances from Belarusians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Vladimir Veremeenko
Vladimir Veremeenko
#1. This week's number one is former international forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, currently plays in VTB United League). He led his Russian team Unics Kazan to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Kalev/Cramo (3-10) 70-52 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. Veremeenko recorded 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes on the court. Unics Kazan (9-4) is placed fourth in group A. It's Veremeenko's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 8.6ppg, 5.0rpg and FT: 86.1% in the 12 games he played so far. Veremeenko has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian. He played for the Belarusian senior national team six years ago.

Mikalai Aliakseyeu
Mikalai Aliakseyeu
#2. Second place goes to an experienced international center Mikalai Aliakseyeu (210-78, agency: TSS Management, college: Buffalo, currently plays in Iran). Aliakseyeu led Shahrdari Gorgan to a victory over the closely-ranked Zanjan (10-8) 80-73 in the Iranian Superleague last Thursday. He was MVP of the game. Aliakseyeu recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 12 rebounds. Shahrdari Gorgan Municipality (8-10) is placed fifth in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Aliakseyeu's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Aliakseyeu averages: 16.0ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 41.2%. He is in the roster of the Belarusian senior national team.

Artsiom Parakhouski
Artsiom Parakhouski
#3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. Parakhouski could not help Olin Edirne (3-14) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Olin Edirne was edged 69-67 at home by the second-ranked Banvit BK. Parakhouski was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 26 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Parakhouski's third season in pro basketball. It was Olin Edirne's eighth consecutive loss in a row. Parakhouski is ranked second on the list of the best blockers in the league with 1.6bpg. This year his other stats are: 12.2ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 66.4%(89-134) and FT: 48.4% in the 17 games. Parakhouski is also a member of the Belarusian senior national team.

Dante Stiggers
Dante Stiggers
#4. Point guard Dante Stiggers (188-82, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Cyprus) was the main contributor in Apoel's victory against the closely-ranked Apollon (8-9) 70-68 in the Cypriot Division A in Tuesday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Stiggers recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Cytavision Apoel Nicosia (9-8) is placed fourth in the Division A. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Stiggers is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league and also on the list of most steals (third place). His overall stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.5apg and 2.2spg. Stiggers is a naturalized American. He is also Belarusian national team player. Stiggers used to play for BK Minsk-2006 in Belarusian league.

Mikita Meshcharakou
Mikita Meshcharakou
#5. International small forward Mikita Meshcharakou (202-88, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) was not able to help AcegasAps TR (8-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance AcegasAps TR lost 71-80 on their home court in Trieste to the higher-ranked (#5) C.de Latte BRE. Meshcharakou scored 11 points in 20 minutes. This year Meshcharakou's overall stats are: 8.9ppg and 4.4rpg in the 16 games. He plays currently for the Belarusian national team.

Maksim Shustau
Maksim Shustau
#6. Guard Maksim Shustau (188-86, currently plays in Russia) was not able to secure a victory for Sojuz Zaretchny (4-14) in their game against Ruskon-Mordovia (11-7) in the Russian Superleague (second division). Shustau cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points in 25 minutes. Sojuz Zaretchny was crushed 100-50 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#5) Ruskon-Mordovia. Shustau has relatively good stats this year: 11.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.2apg in the six games. He is a former international player as he played for the Belarusian senior team five years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Belarusian passport but never been selected to any of Belarusian national teams:

#1. Yivgeni Lioutrine (200-C-88, currently plays in Israel) contributed to a Elitzur Yavne's victory against the ninth-ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (5-10) 98-86 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. Lioutrine scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Elitzur Yavne (11-4) is placed fourth in the National League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Lioutrine's total stats this season are: 8.5ppg and 4.2rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Israeli. Despite Lioutrine's Belarusian passport, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Belarusian team.

#2. Experienced Sergey Karpov (200-F-80, currently plays in Russia), who plays in the Russian Superleague (second division) could not help Sojuz Zaretchny (4-14) in their last game. Despite Karpov's good performance Sojuz Zaretchny was crushed 100-50 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#5) Ruskon-Mordovia. He was the top scorer with 14 points in 21 minutes. This year Karpov's total stats are: 6.9ppg and 1.8rpg in the 17 games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Russian.

#3. Vladi Yeremishin (201-F/C-84, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Ironi Ramat Gan (8-7) in their game against Hod Hasharon (11-4) in the Israeli National League (second division). Yeremishin cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. Ironi Ramat Gan was defeated 92-82 at home by the higher-ranked Hod Hasharon (#5). It was Ironi Ramat Gan's third consecutive loss in a row. Yeremishin's total stats this season are: 3.1ppg and 1.9rpg. He has both Belarusian and Israeli nationalities.
