23-year old guard Kiril Sitnik (190-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Sozh Gomel and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had the game-high 31 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Sozh Gomel in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Tsmoki-Minsk II (#4, 8-10) with 29-point margin 92-63. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sozh Gomel maintains the 2nd position in Belarusian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sozh Gomel will need more victories to improve their 13-5 record. In the team's last game Sitnik had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Sozh Gomel's top player in his first season with the team. Sitnik has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.6ppg. Sitnik is in league's top in assists (7th best: 3.4apg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 63.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Zintis Plivda (206-C-88) of Rubon. He is Latvian center in his first season at Rubon. In the last game Plivda recorded impressive 22 points and 8 rebounds. Of course Rubon cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Svisloch (#6, 5-13). Rubon's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 9-9 record is not bad at all. Plivda is a newcomer at Rubon and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Sergej Vasilevich (202-F-92) of league's leader Grodno-93. Vasilevich scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of Grodno-93, leading his team to a 92-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Impuls BGUIR (#5, 7-11). Grodno-93 have amazing season winning all 18 games without a single defeat. Vasilevich turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Vasilevich has a very solid season. In 12 games in Belarus he scored 4.7ppg.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) confirmed in their roster 29-year old international forward Mikita Meshcharakou (201-104kg-88, college: Wake Forest). He played there last season. Meshcharakou managed to play in three leagues last year. In 6 Premier League games he had 11.5ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) and the cup (also twice). COR-Borisfen Mogilev (Premier League) hired 42-year old coach Andrei Krivonos from Tsmoki-Minsk. Krivonos has coached there for the last nine years. He helped them to win the cup. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Krivonos was voted Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Coach of the Year back in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. Xuven Cambados (LEB Silver) landed 26-year old Belarusian center Vladzimir Krysevich (209-110kg-91). He played most recently at BSEU-GrandPrint in Belarusian Premier League. In two games he averaged 6.5ppg and 6.0rpg last season. Krysevich also played that season for Galitos-Barreiro in Portuguese LPB where in 14 games he had 3.0ppg and 2.1rpg.
