Very significant was Sozh Gomel's (#2, 14-5) victory against one of their biggest challengers Rubon (9-10) 77-69. Rubon was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-17 charge of Sozh Gomel, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 24 Rubon turnovers. Guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87) chipped in 20 points during the contest. At the losing side Latvian center Zintis Plivda (206-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Sozh Gomel maintains second position with 14-5 record having three points less than leader Grodno-93. Rubon at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. Sozh Gomel are looking forward to face Svisloch (#6) in Osipovichi in the next round. Rubon will play on the road against Tsmoki-Minsk II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Impuls BGUIR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Borisfen will play against the league's leader Grodno-93 (#1) and hope to secure a win.

Impuls BGUIR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game.
