An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gomel. First ranked Gorizont faced 3rd placed Sozh Gomel. Guests from Minsk (10-5) defeated host Sozh Gomel (5-10) 73-60. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international guard Natalia Anufryienka (174-85, agency: LBM Management) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Russian-Ukrainian center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89) chipped in 8 points and 17 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian center Elena Staschuk (192-85) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Gorizont went down to third position (League) due to points difference. Sozh Gomel at the other side dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. Gorizont are looking forward to face league's leader Olimpia GrGAU in Grodno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sozh Gomel will play at home against the league's second-placed Tsmoki-Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

International power forward Volha Istseliatsova (189-88) answered with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Tsmoki-Minsk. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Nikolay Buzlyakov rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Olimpia GrGAU keeps a position of League leader. Tsmoki-Minsk at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. Olimpia GrGAU will play against Gorizont (#3) in Minsk in the next round, which may be the game of the day. There was no surprise in Grodno where 4th placed BrGU COR Victoria (0-14) was crushed by second ranked Victoria-UOR (5-9) 87-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Victoria-UOR. BrGU COR Victoria was better in third quarter 24-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Victoria-UOR won last quarter 35-10. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BrGU COR Victoria's 30. Victoria-UOR forced 27 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 59-41 including a 27-9 advantage in offensive rebounds.
