The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Victoria-UOR as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Victoria-UOR defeated 3rd ranked Junior U-16 in Grodno 55-50. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 22-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Victoria-UOR forced 20 Junior U-16 turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Viyaleta Kiuliak (181-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Natallia Pratskaila (184-94) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Victoria-UOR's coach Valentina Navoichyk used entire bench in such tough game. Center Hanna Brych (183-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for Junior U-16. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Junior U-16 still closes the standings with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by Aleksandra Khomenchuk did not help to save the game for Gorizont. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpia GrGAU maintains first position in League with 15-1 record. Defending champion Gorizont keeps the third place with six games lost. Olimpia GrGAU will meet at home Sozh Gomel (#4) in the next round. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki-Minsk.

Valiantsina Myshapud fired 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Victoria-UOR keeps a position of League leader. Newly promoted Junior U-16 still closes the standings with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

The most impressive performance of 4th round was 19 points and 17 rebounds by Alina Iordan of Tsmoki-Minsk.

Sozh Gomel - Tsmoki-Minsk 96-84

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (12-4) against fourth ranked Sozh Gomel (6-10) on Wednesday night. Visiting Tsmoki-Minsk was defeated by Sozh Gomel in Gomel 96-84. Tsmoki-Minsk was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 30-13 third quarter run of Sozh Gomel. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki-Minsk's 46 and made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Sozh Gomel forced 20 Tsmoki-Minsk turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian center Anna Kiriyenko (190-93) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-55. Olimpia GrGAU dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gorizont's 26. Olimpia GrGAU forced 21 Gorizont turnovers. The winners were led by the former international guard Nadzeya Drozd (174-83) who scored that evening 16 points, 9 assists and 5 steals and Maryia Papova (186-94) supported her with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Victoria-UOR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Junior U-16 to just 4 points in second quarter. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) landed 22-year old American guard Rachel Theriot (183-94). She just graduated from Nebraska (NCAA). Theriot has played there for the last four years. In 25 games she averaged 10.6ppg, 3.8rpg, 7.3apg and 1.0spg last season. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it will be her first season in pro basketball.
