Kiryl Sitnik
Kiril Sitnik (190-G-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Sozh Gomel and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding three rebounds and four assists for Sozh Gomel in his team's victory, helping them to crush Svisloch (#6, 6-14) with 25-point margin 96-71. Sozh Gomel maintains the 2nd position in Belarusian Premier League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sozh Gomel will need more victories to improve their 15-5 record. In the team's last game Sitnik had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sozh Gomel's top player in his first season with the team. Sitnik has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.9ppg. Sitnik is in league's top in assists (8th best: 3.3apg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 63.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Sozh Gomel's star - 29-year old Ukrainian forward Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83). Dadukin impressed basketball fans with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Of course together with Sitnik he helped Sozh Gomel with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Svisloch (#6, 6-14) 96-71. Sozh Gomel's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 15-5 record is not bad at all. Dadukin is a newcomer at Sozh Gomel and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Sozh Gomel's star - Ukrainian Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86). Miakinin scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds. He was another key player of Sozh Gomel, helping his team with a 96-71 easy win against the lower-ranked Svisloch (#6, 6-14). Sozh Gomel needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 5 lost games. Miakinin has a great season in Belarus. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Artem Malkov (185-PG-88) of Grodno-93 - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Kanstantin Yafremov (202-F-86) of Grodno-93 - 10 points and 6 rebounds
6. Maks Adam Konate (200-F-91) of Svisloch - 19 points and 9 rebounds
7. Dzmitry Kuzmin (196-G-75) of Grodno-93 - 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Pavel Bliznets (210-C-94) of Sozh Gomel - 6 points and 4 rebounds
9. Siarhei Charykau (185-PG-82) of Sozh Gomel - 14 points and 6 assists
10. Fedor Kryukov (181-PG-88) of Borisfen - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
