Yakin Dogu Universitesi B.G.D. (KBSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old Belarusian international forward Maryia Papova (189-85kg-94). She played most recently at Enisey in Russian PBL league, but left the team in March'16. In 17 games she recorded 8.9ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2apg last season. Papova also played 8 games in Eurocup where she averaged 11.3ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.0apg.
The previous (14-15) season she played at Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) in Belarus. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and Papova was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 31 Premier League games she averaged 11.7ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.0spg. She helped them to win the league title and they also made it to the Cup final. Great season indeed as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and to the All-Star Game. Papova also played 6 games in Eurocup where she averaged 6.8ppg and 2.5rpg. She also played 2 games in Baltic League where Papova averaged 12.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.5apg.
The 2013-14 season she played at Belfius Namur (Top Division Women) in Belgian league. In 25 games Papova averaged 10.0ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.0apg. She contributed to her team making it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. She also played 5 games in Eurocup where Papova averaged 7.2ppg and 4.8rpg.
The 2012-13 season she played at Olimpia GrGAU (Premier League) in Belarus. The team played in three different competitions that year, and Papova was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 25 Premier League games she averaged 14.5ppg, 6.9rpg, 2.2apg and 1.7spg. A very good season in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Forward of the Year and voted to All-Domestic Players Team. Papova also played 8 games in Eurocup where she averaged impressive 15.9ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.8apg. She also played 7 games in Baltic League where Papova was fourth best scorer with remarkable 19.4ppg and had 9.4rpg, 3.3apg (top 5), 2.0spg and 1.0bpg.
Among other achievements she received Eurobasket.com All-BWBL Player of the Year award back in 2013.
Papova has been also a member of Belarusian international program for some years. She has regularly played for Belarusian senior team since 2013 and previously for U20 National Team between 2010 and 2014.
Papova also represented Belarus at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes sixteen years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 8.8ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.8spg, FGP: 52.9%, 3PT: 42.9%, FT-2 (88.9%).

This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in Premier League and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.
