The most exciting game of round 9 in the Premier League took place in Brest. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Gorizont II (5-15) to eighth ranked BrGU COR Victoria (3-19) 62-60 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gorizont II won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BrGU COR Victoria won last quarter 15-14. BrGU COR Victoria had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Maria Rafalovich (164-1) stepped up and scored 21 points and 4 steals for the winners and Diana Tolochko (177-96) chipped in 6 points and 15 rebounds. BrGU COR Victoria's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Darya Semiletnikova (-1) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. BrGU COR Victoria maintains eighth place with 3-19 record. Gorizont II lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. BrGU COR Victoria will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gorizont II will play at home against Polotsk (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Grodno. Second-best host Olimpia GrGAU (12-4) lost to third ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (13-4) 68-55. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Olimpia GrGAU. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Forward Ekateryna Rybalka (182-98) nailed 17 points for the winning side and Viktoriya Hasper accounted for 12 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for Olimpia GrGAU in the defeat. Olimpia GrGAU's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tsmoki-Minsk moved-up to second place. Olimpia GrGAU at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Sozh-GGU (#4) in Gomel in the next round. Olimpia GrGAU will play on the road against the league's leader Gorizont in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Defending champion maintains first place with 14-3 record. Sozh-GGU lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Gorizont will meet at home Olimpia GrGAU (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sozh-GGU will play against the league's second-placed Tsmoki-Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Polotsk was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Victoria (10-12) played at the court of sixth ranked Polotsk (6-2). Polotsk did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-61. It was a good game for Karyna Karneyeva who led her team to a victory with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Victoria's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Polotsk have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Polotsk maintains sixth place with 6-2 record. Victoria at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Polotsk's next round opponent will be Gorizont II (#7) in Minsk.

Olimpia - Tsmoki-Minsk 55-68

The game between Top Four teams took place in Grodno. Second-best host Olimpia GrGAU (12-4) lost to third ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (13-4) 68-55. The game in Polotsk was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Victoria (10-12) played at the court of sixth ranked Polotsk (6-2). Polotsk did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-61. The game was mostly controlled by Polotsk. Victoria was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Polotsk forced 20 Victoria turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for forward Karyna Karneyeva (181-95) who led her team to a victory with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Maryna Krivitskaya (175-87) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Yana Haliakova (184-1) answered with 20 points and forward Ekaterina Karpuk (180-99) added 14 points in the effort for Victoria. Victoria's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Polotsk have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Polotsk maintains sixth place with 6-2 record. The game between Top Four teams took place in Minsk. First ranked host Gorizont (14-3) smashed 4th placed Sozh-GGU (6-10) 99-36. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sozh-GGU to just 6 points in first quarter. Gorizont dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sozh-GGU's 28. Gorizont forced 20 Sozh-GGU turnovers and outrebounded them 45-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Sozh-GGU's players. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Yuliya Rytsikava (181-86) who scored 27 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). French point guard Najat Ouardad (152-90, college: Auburn, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures.
