Here is the weekly review of the top performing Belarusian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Vitali Liutych (198-92, currently plays in VTB United League). He could not help Kalev/Cramo (4-13) in their last game. Despite Liutych's very good performance Kalev/Cramo lost 82-91 at home to the higher-ranked (#7) Enisey. He was the top scorer with 30 points. Liutych also added 5 rebounds in 28 minutes on the court. Liutych has relatively good stats this year: 14.1ppg, 3.8rpg, 2FGP: 57.3%(47-82), 3FGP: 41.5% and FT: 79.1% in 14 games he played so far. Ex-Tsmoki-Minsk player is currently a member of the Belarusian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Artsiom Parakhouski (211-87, college: Radford, currently plays in VTB United League). He was not able to help Unics Kazan (11-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Parakhouski's very good performance Unics Kazan was defeated 92-88 on the road by the leading CSKA. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Parakhouski also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists. This season Parakhouski has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 66.9%(81-121) and FT: 63.3%. He is in the roster of the Belarusian senior national team.

   #3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Maalik Wayns (185-91, college: Villanova, currently plays in Israel). Wayns was the major contributor in a Maccabi Rishon's victory against one of league's weakest teams Maccabi Ashdod (6-14) crushing them 80-58 in the Israeli Winner League on Sunday night. He recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in 31 minutes. Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (10-10) is placed seventh in the Winner League. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Wayns has reliable stats this year: 14.5ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.8apg, 1.5spg, 3FGP: 39.4% and FT: 70.6% in 12 games. He is a naturalized American. Despite Wayns played previously for the USA U18 national team, he is currently a member of the Belarusian senior national team. Strangely Wayns has never played in Belarus.

   #4. Small forward Aliaksandr Pustahvar (202-85, currently plays in Hungary) was not able to secure a victory for Falco KC (12-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Falco KC was defeated 92-81 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Kormend (#3). Pustahvar recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. Pustahvar's stats this season are: 13.7ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.3apg. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian. Pustahvar is also Belarusian national team player.

An experienced former international forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, currently plays in Euroleague) couldn't help Brose Baskets (8-15) in their game against Zalgiris (10-13) in the Euroleague. He scored only 4 points in 3 minutes on the court. The 12th-placed Brose Baskets (8-15) lost 86-91 in Kaunas to the higher-ranked (#10) Zalgiris in the group A of Euroleague. This year Veremeenko averages: 2.1ppg and 1.3rpg in 18 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Russian. Veremeenko used to play for the Belarusian national team ten years ago.

   #6. Guard Valery Gandlin (192-86, currently plays in Israel) couldn't help Ironi Ramat Gan (2-18) in their game against Galil Elion (9-11) in the Israeli National League (second division). Despite his very good performance on Tuesday night He scored 18 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals. Gandlin averaged so far 11.8ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.8apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Belarusian senior team three years ago.

Former U18 international forward Anton Astapkovich (202-94, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) couldn't help Avtodor (7-7) in their game against EWE Baskets (10-4) in the Basketball Champions League. Astapkovich cannot count it as his best performance. He scored only 2 points in 3 minutes on the court. Avtodor (#4) lost 89-98 in Oldenburg to the higher-ranked (#3) EWE Baskets in the group B of Basketball Champions League. It's Astapkovich's first season with the team. This year Astapkovich averages just 1.1ppg in 11 games. He used to play for the Belarusian U18 national team six years ago.

Power forward Denis Vikentsyeu (203-98, currently plays in Latvia) led Ventspils Augstskola to a victory against the sixth-ranked Valmiera/ORDO-2 (6-6) 82-76 in the Latvian LBL2 (second division) on Saturday night. Vikentsyeu had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 6 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals in 36 minutes. BK Ventspils Augstskola (14-1) is placed first in Places 13-21 group. Vikentsyeu's team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And now that game is very crucial. Vikentsyeu has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.1ppg, 10.4rpg, 2.3apg and 1.7spg in 23 games. Vikentsyeu plays currently for the Belarusian U18 national team.

   #9. International power forward Maksim Salash (206-96, currently plays in Poland) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams AZS Polfarmex (4-17) in their game against TBV Start (5-16) in the Polish PLK. He scored 5 points. AZS Polfarmex was defeated 81-77 in Lublin by the higher-ranked TBV Start (#15). It was AZS Polfarmex's third consecutive loss in a row. Salash's overall stats this season are: 4.0ppg and 3.0rpg. He is also in the roster of the Belarusian national team.

   #10. Guard Vlad Mikulskiy (192-98, currently plays in Latvia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Denis Vikentsyeu and both played together in the last Latvian LBL2 game. Mikulskiy contributed to a Ventspils Augstskola's victory against the sixth-ranked Valmiera/ORDO-2 (6-6) 82-76. He scored 13 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 26 minutes. Mikulskiy's stats this year are: 13.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 3.4apg and 2.7spg in 19 games. He is U18 international player who is currently on the Belarusian National Team roster.

   #11. U18 international forward Yauhen Massalski (204-99, currently plays in Lithuania) couldn't help Perlas-MRU in their game against Vytis in the Lithuanian NKL (second division). Massalski cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 75-61. Massalski's overall stats this season are: 3.9ppg and 4.2rpg. He plays currently for the Belarusian U18 national team.


The list of other players, who all have Belarusian passport but never been selected to any of Belarusian national teams:

   #1. Valentin Iurchik (210-C/F-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Russia). Iurchik could not help Ryazan (5-15) to beat Universitet-Yugra (13-5). He scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. But Ryazan was badly defeated 89-72 at home by the much higher-ranked Universitet-Yugra (#3). There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Iurchik's overall stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.5apg. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian.

   #2. Vladislav Solopa (202-PF-95, currently plays in Romania) managed to help SCM CSU Craiova to win against the leader Steaua CSM 81-79 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Friday night. Solopa recorded only 3 points. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 7-10. SCM CSU Craiovais placed first. Solopa's overall stats this season are: 3.1ppg and 2.2rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Moldovan.

   #3. Mikita Balaban (201-C/F-96, currently plays in Lithuania) was not able to help KTU in their game against Zalgiris II (23-15) in the Lithuanian NKL (second division). Balaban scored 5 points in 20 minutes. KTU (#5) was crushed 83-61 in a derby game by the leading Zalgiris II in the Places 8-14 group. It was KTU's fourth consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. This year Balaban's overall stats are: 2.8ppg and 1.7rpg in 14 games he played so far. He has both Belarusian and Lithuanian nationalities.

Ormanspor Genclik Ankara (TB2L) inked 32-year old American guard Antonio Graves (191-86kg-85, college: Pittsburgh). He played most recently at Tsmoki-Minsk in Belarusian Premier League. Graves managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 6 Premier League games he averaged 13.8ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.7apg and 2.5spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice).
