Gorizont - Sozh-GGU 105-37

Gorizont cruised past Sozh-GGU to take 2-0 lead in the series. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sozh-GGU to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Gorizont dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sozh-GGU's 24. Gorizont forced 32 Sozh-GGU turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Gorizont players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Sozh-GGU's players. Darya Panasiuk (176-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 4 steals. The former international center Marina Kress (196-80) contributed with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Gorizont's coach Nataliya Trafimava felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Tatsiana Rebianchuk (186-88) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Marina Rakovskaia (173-92) added 8 points in the effort for Sozh-GGU.

Tsmoki-Minsk - Olimpia 68-59

Tsmoki-Minsk held off Olimpia to jump to 2-0 advantage. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. Tsmoki-Minsk outrebounded Olimpia 44-33 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international center Viktoriya Hasper (193-88) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Ala Murauskaya (187-85) chipped in 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international guard Sviatlana Valko (171-89) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Natallia Dashkevich (188-88) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

ASC Sepsi SIC Sfantu Gheorghe (Liga Nationala) landed experienced 37-year old Belarusian international center Marina Kress (196-80). She played most recently at Gorizont in Belarusian Premier League. Kress managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 22 Premier League games she averaged 7.0ppg, 8.4rpg, 2.6apg and 1.0spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final.
