Vitebsk - Tsmoki II 63-64

Tsmoki II snatched a narrow win over Vitebsk to force the decisive third game in the quarterfinal series. Vitebsk was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 20-14 charge of Tsmoki II, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Vitebsk turnovers. Strangely Vitebsk outrebounded Tsmoki II 51-31 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Vitebsk helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Andrey Stavrovskiy (185-97) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Andrei Rogozenko (183-97) chipped in 11 points during the contest. Tsmoki II's coach Heorhi Kandrusevich used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Anton Vashkevich (203-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Ivan Aladko (193-95) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds.

Grodno-93 topped Impuls BGUIR to advance into the semifinal stage. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 23-19 Impuls BGUIR's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 86-77 at the end of the game. Grodno-93 shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Impuls BGUIR's players. The former international guard Dmitry Kuzmin (196-75) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the former international guard Kiryl Sitnik (190-89) supported him with 17 points and 7 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Four Grodno-93 players scored in double figures. Grodno-93's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists by Genadziy Zahar (200-92) did not help to save the game for Impuls BGUIR. Guard Kiril Volodkin (190-91) added 30 points and 4 assists for the guests.
