The game in Charleroi was quite interesting. Fifth ranked Declercq Stortbeton (12-4) played at the court of 8th ranked R.Spirou Monceau (5-12). Declercq Stortbeton managed to secure a 4-point victory 71-67 on Sunday. R.Spirou Monceau trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 20-7 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-71 at the end of the game. Declercq Stortbeton forced 21 R.Spirou Monceau turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-G/F-89, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) (182-89, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds. The former international guard Katrien Vercauteren (170-84) chipped in 20 points. American forward April Phillips (183-87, college: Xavier, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds for the hosts. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sint Katelijne. R.Spirou Monceau lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Houthalen. Declercq Stortbeton is looking forward to face Tulikivi (#10) in Deerlijk in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. R.Spirou Monceau will play at home against Houthalen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The former international forward Annelies Blommaers (176-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Wendy Bas contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. New Caledonian forward Soana Lucet (186-87, college: Arizona) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for Castors Braine. Houthalen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Spirou Monceau. Newly promoted Castors Braine stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Houthalen will play against R.Spirou Monceau (#8) in Charleroi in the next round. Castors Braine will play at home against Basket Groot (#11) in Willebroek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Eveline Decroos stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Sarah Dochez responded with 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kangoeroes-B. maintains second place with 14-3 record having just one points less than leader Dexia Namur. Basket Groot lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Tulikivi Deerlijk. Kangoeroes-B. will meet Sint Kateline Waver (#4) in the next round. Basket Groot will play against Castors Braine (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 17 Sint Katelijne crushed Tulikivi Deerlijk in a road game 81-57. Blue Cats beat Point Chaud at home 80-76.
The best stats of 17th round was 21 points and 12 rebounds by Emma Meesseman of Blue Cats.

There was no surprise in Deerlijk where 10th ranked Tulikivi (3-14) was crushed by fourth ranked Sint Kateline Waver (12-4) 81-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Sint Kateline Waver led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. International guard Miete Celus (175-91) stepped up and scored 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and Jolien Goyvaerts (173-94) chipped in 10 points. Sint Kateline Waver's coach Arvid Diels felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Eline Verbeest (186-86) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the former international power forward Irina Medvedeva (190-76) scored 12 points and 6 steals. Sint Kateline Waver maintains fourth place with 12-4 record, which they share with Waregem. Tulikivi at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Willebroek. Sint Kateline Waver will meet at home league's second-placed Kangoeroes-B. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tulikivi will play against Declercq Stortbeton (#5) in Waregem and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in Ieper where third ranked Blue Cats (13-4) defeated 6th ranked Point Chaud (9-8) 80-76 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-17. But Point Chaud won third quarter 18-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Point Chaud 39-16 including a 28-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Emma Meesseman (192-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American power forward Latoya Drake (188-86, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Blue Cats players scored in double figures. American forward Mariesa Greene (183-87, college: Barry) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and international Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, agency: LBM Management) scored 29 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Blue Cats have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-4 record having just two points less than leader Dexia Namur. Point Chaud at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.
