The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with change at the leadership position, extra overtimes, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Round 19 in D1 means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Quaregnon where host Dexia Mons-Hainaut (9-7) crushed league's leader Okapi Aalstar (11-6) 97-74 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Okapi Aalstar. The game without a history. Dexia Mons-Hainaut led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Okapi Aalstar's 30. They outrebounded Okapi Aalstar 37-22 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dexia Mons-Hainaut shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. American guard Quincy Taylor (196-G-82, college: UAB) fired 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Warren Carter (205-85, college: Illinois) chipped in 17 points and 12 rebounds. Dexia Mons-Hainaut's coach Arik Shivek felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Christopher Copeland (203-84, college: Colorado) produced 23 points for lost side. Dexia Mons-Hainaut moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Leuven. Okapi Aalstar at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Oostende. They were replaced at the leadership position by Spirou. Okapi Aalstar will play next round against Leuven Bears trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dexia Mons-Hainaut will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster on the road.

Antwerp Giants led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to VOO Verviers-Pepinster's 30. American forward Julian Vaughn (205-88, college: Georgetown) fired 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Michael Roll (196-87, college: UCLA) chipped in 18 points. Coach Eddy Casteels's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Jermaine Beal (191-87, college: Vanderbilt) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Maxime De Zeeuw (205-87, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Antwerp Giants maintains fourth place with 10-6 record. Loser VOO Verviers-Pepinster stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Base Oostende's (11-6) road victory over 5th ranked Leuven Bears (9-7) 81-73 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-14. But Leuven Bears won second period 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Christopher Booker (208-81, college: Purdue) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Kennedy Winston (198-84, college: Alabama) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Guard Niels Marnegrave (191-87) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian guard Adeola Dagunduro (196-86, college: Nebraska) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Base Oostende moved-up to second place, which they share with Aalstar. Loser Leuven Bears keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Base Oostende will face Optima Gent (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Leuven Bears will play against the league's second-placed Okapi Aalstar.
