Belgian second division for men is over. Gembo cruised past Waregem in decisive Game Three of the Finals winning the D2 championship title. It was a 72-88 road victory for Gembo tonight. Gembo started the series with comfortable 98-70 home win. That game was played last Tuesday. On Friday, Waregem celebrated 86-78 tying the score to 1-1. Waregem was the regular season champion of D2 with 20-6 record, so they played decisive Game Three in the front of their fans, but that did not help. Gembo was the second ranked team of the regular season with 19-7 score. They eliminated Essor Charleroi with perfect 2-0 in the Quarterfinals. Later Gembo edged Fleurus with 2-1 in the Semis.
