Spain U16 registered the second straight win at the Torneo Internacional de Niza. The Spanish cadets grabbed 67:65 victory over Belgium in France.
Both teams nailed 15 points each in the opening tip. Spain needed 20-18 in the second frame to take 2-point lead at the halftime. Moreover Spain won the third period 17-15 and enjoyed 4-point ddeficit with 10 minutes left in the game. Belgium managed to win the last stanza 16-15 but reduced to 2 points at the end.
Salvadores paced all the winners with 12 points and Quevedo netted 11. Flores ended up with 10 points, while Conde delivered 9. Phebe Raman (96) replied with 17 points and Devlieghere notched 12. Laeticia Mpoyi (179-C-96) and Julie Allemand (173-PG-96) followed them with 11 points each in defeat.
Tomorrow Spain will face France, while Belgium will take on Russia.

BC Belfius Namur Capitale (Top Division Women) added to their roster 24-year old Belgian international swingman Hanne Mestdagh (178-93, college: Colorado State, agency: ProDep Management). She signed a one year deal at Namur where her father Philip is the head-coach. She played last season at Eisvogel USC Freiburg in German DBBL.
