Belgium registered second straight win at U16 EuroBasket in Miskolc. They blasted Sweden 44-82 for perfect 2-0 record in Preliminary Group A and already booked a spot for the next stage. Eva Devliegher (170-SG-96) led the winners in scoring with 13 points, while Julie Allemand (173-PG-96) was their best player with 12 pts, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (valuation 21). Kyara Linskens (189-C-96) added 11 points and 6 boards for just 14 minutes on the court. Sweden did not have anyone with double digits in scoring. Andjela Hrnjez (185-C-96) (8 rebs) delivered 9 points, Elin Ljunggren (182-F-96) had 8 and Sigrid Sandstrom (177-G-96) stopped to 7 pts. Sweden dropped to 0-2 after this loss. We bring you last week's top performances from Belgians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Kim Mestdagh (179-90). She led Flammes to a victory over the league outsider Angers in the French LFB in Saturday night's game.

#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Kim Mestdagh (179-90, college: Colorado St., currently plays in France). She led Flammes to a victory over the league outsider Angers (3-18) 78-62 in the French LFB in Saturday night's game.
Mestdagh was MVP of the game. She scored 16 points and had 3 steals in 27 minutes on the court.
Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes (16-5) is placed second in the LFB.
Mestdagh's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Mestdagh has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.6apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 52.7%, 3FGP: 40.2% and FT: 81.0% in 18 games she played so far.
She is currently a member of the Belgian senior national team.

Ben Abdelkader could not help Wisla Can-Pack (18-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her very good performance Wisla Can-Pack was defeated 66-61 at home by the lower-ranked AZS UMCS (#7).
Ben Abdelkader was the top scorer with 20 points. She also added 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws).
This season Ben Abdelkader has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.4apg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 46.2%(55-119) and FT: 86.6%.
She is in the roster of the Belgian senior national team.
#3. The Belgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Julie Vanloo (172-93, currently plays in Italy). Vanloo was the major contributor in Ragusa's victory against the closely-ranked Vigarano (6-15) 71-61 in the Italian Serie A1 on Sunday night.
She scored 16 points and added 3 assists in 31 minutes.
Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa (13-7) is placed fifth in the Serie A1.
It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.

#4. An experienced center Ann Wauters (194-80, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Mersin MBK (5-16) crushing them 80-53 in the Turkish KBSL in Wednesday night's game.
Wauters scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Abdullah Gul University Kayseri (15-5) is placed third in the KBSL.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important.
Wauters' stats this season are: 12.0ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.3apg.
She is also Belgian national team player.
#5. International shooting guard Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Gruner Stern Keltern in their game against Herner TC (12-10) in the German DBBL.
Mayombo recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 24 minutes.
Gruner Stern Keltern was crushed 76-49 on the road by the lower-ranked (#5) Herner TC.
They ended the series of three consecutive victories.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important.
It's Mayombo's first season with the team.

Despite her good performance Eisvogel Freiburg was defeated 79-69 on the opponent's court by the league outsider Rotenburg/Scheessel (#12).
Mestdagh was the second best scorer with 12 points.
