U16 SWEDEN - U16 BELGIUM 44-82

Belgium registered second straight win at U16 EuroBasket in Miskolc. They blasted Sweden 44-82 for perfect 2-0 record in Preliminary Group A and already booked a spot for the next stage. Eva Devliegher (170-SG-96) led the winners in scoring with 13 points, while Julie Allemand (173-PG-96) was their best player with 12 pts, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (valuation 21). Kyara Linskens (189-C-96) added 11 points and 6 boards for just 14 minutes on the court. Sweden did not have anyone with double digits in scoring. Andjela Hrnjez (185-C-96) (8 rebs) delivered 9 points, Elin Ljunggren (182-F-96) had 8 and Sigrid Sandstrom (177-G-96) stopped to 7 pts. Sweden dropped to 0-2 after this loss. Belgium trashed its rival in the second quarter 9-29 for 20-point lead at the halftime. They increased it to plus 24 with ten minutes remaining and limited Sweden to only 2 points for rest of the way, while draining 16 at the other side. In the last day of the Preliminary Round, Belgium will meet host Hungary. Sweden will take on Turkey hoping they can reach the next stage.

She signed a one year deal at Namur where her father Philip is the head-coach. She played last season at Eisvogel USC Freiburg in German DBBL.
