Belgium destroyed Romania 84-44 in the second game of Group G in Bucharest. Belgium jumped to 2-0 in this pool staying on top of it, together with Czech Republic. At the other side, Romania dropped to 0-2. The host of U18 EuroBasket is in very difficult situation now and most likely will face with relegation to Division B. Only the winner of Group G will survive in Division A. Belgium made 27-point lead at the halftime and all after that was just the formality. Quarters: 21-10, 23-7, 19-10, 21-17. Antonia Delaere (176-F/G-94) scored 19 points and Hind Ben Abdelkader (170-SF-95) had two less for the winners. Axelle Bernard (183-C-95) collected 8 pts and 10 rebs. In Romania, Dora Ardelean (186-PF-94) had 10 points and Iulia Raileanu (189-PF-95) added 8 pts, plus 10 rebs. In the next game, Belgium will meet Czech Republic. Romania will take on also winless Poland.

Maja Vucurovic (188-F-91) stays with Waregem for another season. The Serbian player will continue in Belgium in 2013/2014 season. Last year Declercq Stortbeton Waregem announced signing of Maja Vucurovic ,The Belgian team inked a deal with young Serbian forward Maja Vucurovic .The 22-year-old player finished 2011 season with Romanian BCT Alexandria. She joined them in January registering 13.9 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.1 apg and 1.3 spg for 17 games. Vucurovic started the season with Spanish Celta Vigo, but did not appear in any official game with them. Maja Vucurovic won the Polish league title a year ago with TS Wisla Can-Pack Krakow. She had limited playing time, but did a good job for the minutes she was getting. Vucurovic played for Wisla also in 2009/10 and they reached Euroleague Semifinals. In the past, Vucurovic successfully played for Serbian youth National Teams. In 2012-2013 for Declercq Stortbeton Waregem she averaged 10.9 points per game.
