Allen
Start of the pre-season is approaching and today Spirou Charleroi announced the addition of 2 American players to the roster.
First one is a power forward who most recently played in Germany for Alba Berlin, Derrick Allen (203-F-80, college: Mississippi). Allen previously already played 6 seasons in Germany. Started out his pro-career in Iceland during the 03-04 season. He then spent the next 2 years in Germany playing for Karlsruhe before moving to another German team, Bayer Leverkusen. During his one year at Bayer he became the league's leading scorer with 16.5 ppg. The next season at Skyliners Frankfut he was again among the Bundesliga's leading scorers with 18.1 ppg. He was on the Frankfurt roster till the end of the 2009-2010 season. Between 2010 and 2012 he played for Alba Berlin both EuroCup, Bundesliga and the qualifying round of the Euroleague in which the twice lost to Charleroi.
Last season he averaged 10.0 ppg and 4.2 rpg in the EuroCup and 9.1 and 4.0 in the German Bundesliga.

Second player announced is another forward Mike Scott (203-F-86, college: Kent St.). He started his overseas career in Turkey where he played for D2 team Trabsonspor.
Afterwards he played in Hungary during the 2009-2010 season and became the second leading rebounder in the league with 8.8 rpg. He then like Allen also played in Germany for Goettingen where he played both EuroCup and Bundesliga. In the EC he played 14 games and averaged 13.1 ppg and 5.1 rpg.
In the past season he played both the Serbian league and Adriatic league with Radnicki. Became the 3rd leading scorer in the Adriatic league with 17.5 ppg to go with his 6.6 rpg.

They should soon join following players still on the Spirou Charleroi roster, Andre Riddick (208-C-73, college: Kentucky), Sacha Massot (205-F/C-83), Justin Hamilton (190-G-80, college: Florida)n, Boris Penninck (202-C-88) and Amaury Jadin (189-G-86) for medical tests.
