U17 HOLLAND - U17 BELGIUM 65-70

Belgium was better than Holland 70-65 in the last day of FIBA U17 World Championship in Amsterdam. Thanks to this victory Belgium ended as the 7th ranked team at this event. Holland finished as No.8. Hind Ben Abdelkader (170-PG-95) was a key player in Belgium with 29 points and 6 rebounds, while An-Katrien Nauwelaers (178-PF-95) added 13 pts to this win. Their third scorer was Anneleen De Baets (157-PG-95) with 9 points. In Holland, Isabella Slim (181-SF-95) shined with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Klaziena Guijt (172-SG-95) scored 15 points and Laura Cornelius (173-PG-96) had 7 points, plus 5 rebounds. Belgium shined in the first ten minutes and after the breather to take the victory in this meeting. Quarters: 20-12, 8-21, 18-9, 24-23. USA defended the title in Amsterdam after 75-62 win over Spain in the big final. Canada won the bronze medal.
