BasKet Tongeren vs. Cuva Houthalen: 93-106

The two teams joined Division II this season. Cuva Houthalen, Coach Brian Lynch's team, went to defeat 2011-12 Division 3A champion BasKet Tongeren.
Best scorers:
Tongeren: K. Doukmani 19, J. Moonen 14.
Houthalen: J. Westrol 25, R. McCollum 31.

Bent Schoenen Waregem vs. BBC Haantjes Oudenaarde: 68-63

Thanks to an excellent first half by Stan Naudts (195-F-86, 10 rebounds and 6 steals in this game) and Ahmet Gueye (203-C/F-82, college: Hawaii, 13 rebounds in the game), BS Waregem took a good lead at the half. The Haantjes responded well after the break and, led by Jean Salumu (193-F-90), remained close in the last minutes. Two crucial three-pointers by Waregem's forward Olivier Foucart (195-G-84) and a technical foul against BBC Oudenaarde's Coach Alain Defraigne eventually made the difference in favour of the home team.
Score evolution: 18-16, 32-25, 48-42 and 68-63.
Best scorers:
BS Waregem: A. Steinbach 14, O. Foucart 14, A. Gueye 19, T. Foucart 4, S. Naudts 13, B. Samaey 2, Loontiens 2.
Haantjes: G. De Lepeleire 6, Bourdeaux 10, J. Salumu 24, Mestdag 10, Linskens 8, L. Lhote 5.

St-Niklase Condors vs. Essor Charleroi (Spirou B): 76-55

Spirou center Boris Penninck (202-C-88, double licenced) and French players Yann Siegwarth (184-PG-93), Arthur Zuccolini (210-F/C-91) and Luc Louves (207-C/F-89, agency: Three Eye Sports) could not do much against the excellent organisation of the Condors, coached by Steve Ibens.
Best scorers:
Condors: N/A
Essor: Y. Siegwarth 15, Lambot 3, Dedave 6, Eyenga 4, A. Zuccolini 6, B. Penninck 11, L. Louves 10.

Sint-Jan Antwerp vs. Belfius Mons Hainaut II: 78-70

Score evolution: 20-17, 46-33, 61-51 and 78-70.

Kangoeroes Boom vs. Gembo BBC: 95-92

The end of the fourth quarter has been really thrilling. When the game was tied, Kangoeroes were nevertheless always able to react and take a new lead. Witse Van Schil (188-G-83) was particularly confident and scored important baskets and free-throws to help his team win this Antwerp derby.
Score evolution: 32-21, 52-40, 71-60 and 95-92.
Best scorers:
Kangoeroes: S. Bellin 13, Dobbelaere 8, D. Souveryns 20, W. Van Schil 28, M. Gorremans 18, D. Dhaens 6, Verlinden 2.

Excelsior Brussels vs. Gent Dragons: 86-82

Although Dragon forward Thomas Van De Vondel (194-F/G-80) responded well to the Excelsior's fantastic trio of big men Emmanuel Mampuya (200-F/C-79, agency: Promotex), Stephane Pelle (205-C/F-80, college: Colorado) and Kanefu Semijejero (195-PF-77), this was not enough for the visitors to win the game.
Best scorers:
Excelsior: E. Mampuya 14, X. Collette 3, N. Verrept 10, Van Haevermaet 3, De Pooter 9, Maesfrancx 4, De Schepper 10, S. Pelle 18, S. Semijejero 15.

Point Chaud Sprimont vs. CEP Fleurus: 78-93

It is never easy to travel to Sprimont of Coach Pascal Horrion, probably one the most surprising and challenging Division II teams last season.
Mainly thanks to an excellent second quarter, CEP nevertheless earned a first 2012-13 regular season success in Sprimont. Led by their captain Christian Ilongo (194-F-85, agency: Promotex) (elected as team captain by the CEP supporters earlier this season), the men of Coach Paul Vervaeck have controlled the game in the second half.
