Aalstar celebrates in Belgian game between two sides from the country. The team grabbed 84:77 victory over Mons-Hainaut.
Mons-Hainaut actually started better and took 28-16 in the first period. Aalstar reduced to 47:39 at the halftime as Derek Raivio (190-G-84, college: Gonzaga) sent the teams to the lockers at 47:39. No matter how hard the guest tried to tie the game in the third quarter, they could not do it until the last period. Anderson tied the game at 61:61 and Dreesen nailed three for 64:63. Due to 27-16 in the last stanza Aalstar managed to seal the victory.
Derek Raivio stepped up with 18 points and Ryan Thompson (198-G-89, college: Rider) nailed 14. Jason Clark (188-G-90, college: Georgetown) posted 13, while Christopher Young (206-F/C-79, agency: Court Side, college: Michigan) added 12. Justin Cage (198-F-85, agency: Priority Sports, college: Xavier) and Brian Qvale (210-C-88, college: Montana) ended up with 17 points in the losing case, whilst Quincy Taylor (196-G-82, college: UAB) tossed in 15.

Roel Moors has agreed on terms of contract extension with Antwerp. The specialist has been working with the Giants since 2015. He was named All-Belgian League Coach of the Year in 2016. Next season, it will be interesting to follow the performances and the hard work done by two Belgian coaches in the Luxembourg Total League.
