23-year old guard Ryan Thompson (198-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Aalstar and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 20 points adding four assists for Aalstar in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Verviers-Pep. (#8, 1-5) with 26-point margin 89-63. It allowed Aalstar to consolidate first place in the Belgian league. Aalstar have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Thompson had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Aalstar's top player in his first season with the team. Rider University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thompson is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.7ppg. Thompson is in league's top in assists (9th best: 2.5apg) and averages solid 63.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Wesley Wilkinson (207-PF-84) of Oostende. He is American forward in his first season at Oostende. In the last game Wilkinson recorded impressive double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Oostende to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked M.Hainaut (#6, 3-3) 81-54. This victory allowed Oostende to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Wilkinson is a newcomer at Oostende and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Matt Walsh (197-F/G-82) of league's second-best Spirou. Walsh scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Spirou, leading his team to a 74-72 win against the lower-ranked Liege (#5, 3-3). Spirou needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Walsh has a great season in Belgium. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 6.3rpg (8th best) and assists with 3.7apg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gary Ware (205-F/C-83) of Liege - 17 points and 7 rebounds
5. Larry Anderson (195-G) of Aalstar - 14 points and 5 rebounds
6. Jason Clark (188-G-90) of Aalstar - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Matt Lojeski (198-G-85) of Oostende - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Nemanja Aleksandrov (210-C/F-87) of Verviers-Pep. - 21 points and 5 rebounds
9. Amaury Jadin (189-G-86) of Spirou - 20 points and 3 rebounds
10. Gregg Thondique (201-F-87) of Antwerp - 14 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
