American Julie Wojta (183-G/F-89, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Belfius Namur and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old swingman had a double-double of 20 points and nineteen rebounds, while her team outclassed Jeugd Gentson (#9, 2-5) with 29-point margin 69-40. It allowed Belfius Namur to consolidate first place in the Belgian Division I. Belfius Namur have a solid 6-1 record. Wojta turned to be Belfius Namur's top player in her first season with the team. University of Wisconsin - Green Bay graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wojta is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.4ppg) and rebounds (3rd best: 12.0rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American center Erica Davis (191-C-85, agency: LBM Management) of Point Chaud. Davis impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she lead Point Chaud to another comfortable win 78-61 over the lower-ranked Houthalen (#10, 1-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Point Chaud to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Davis is a newcomer at Point Chaud and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.3ppg (#7). She also registered 14.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Belfius Namur's star - Mali Djenebou Sissoko (185-F/C-82). Sissoko scored 14 points and grabbed twenty rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Belfius Namur, helping her team with a 69-40 easy win against the lower-ranked Jeugd Gentson (#9, 2-5). Belfius Namur confirms their top position in the standings Sissoko has a great season in Belgium. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.3rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Janelle Bekkering (181-SF-88) of Kangoeroes-B. - 26 points and 12 rebounds
5. Maja Vucurovic (188-F-91) of Waregem - 27 points and 7 rebounds
6. Dana Boonen (195-C-79) of Kangoeroes-B. - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

10. Marjorie Carpreaux (165-PG-87) of Houthalen - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
