#1. This week's number one is an international forward Axel Hervelle (205-83, currently plays in Eurocup). He led his Spanish team Gescrap BB to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Spirou Charleroi (0-2) 85-69 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game.
Hervelle scored 12 points, grabbed 8 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots in 29 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (2-0) is placed first in the Eurocup.
There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Hervelle belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #2 with 9.5rpg.
He also averaged so far 11.5ppg, 3.0apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 52.6% and FT: 75.0% in the two games he played so far.
Hervelle is currently a member of the Belgian senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Jonathan Tabu (184-85, currently plays in Italy). He led Cantu to a victory over the 14th-ranked VL Pesaro (2-6) 76-66 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday.
Tabu was MVP of the game. He scored 19 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
Mapooro Cantu (6-2) is placed fourth in the SerieA.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Tabu's first year with the team.
Tabu has relatively good stats this season: 11.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 55.2%(16-29) and FT: 88.9%.
He is in the roster of the Belgian senior national team.
#3. The Belgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86, currently plays in Spain). Van Rossom contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Asefa Estudiantes (5-3) 83-68 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night.
He recorded 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 20 minutes.
CAI Zaragoza (5-3) is placed fifth in the ACB.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Van Rossom averages: 9.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.6apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 62.5%(15-24) in the eight games.
He is also a member of the Belgian senior national team.
#4. An experienced guard Marcus Faison (196-78, college: Siena, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Georgia could not help Armia (0-2) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Faison's good performance the fourth-placed Armia was defeated 80-71 at home by the second-ranked Antwerp Giants in the group H of EuroChallenge.
He scored 11 points and blocked 2 shots.
There are only four games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
It's Faison's first season with the team.
Faison's overall stats this year are: 6.0ppg and 2.0rpg.

#5. Former international center Aleksander Lichodzijewski (202-84, currently plays in Poland) contributed to Polpharma's victory against one of league's weakest teams Siarka Jezioro (2-6) 79-68 in the Polish TBL last Saturday.
He scored 7 points.
SKS Polpharma-Pakmet Starogard Gd. (3-5) is placed ninth in the TBL.
They ended the series of four consecutive loses.
Lichodzijewski's overall stats this season are: 5.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.3spg.
He has a dual citizenship: Belgian and Polish.

#6. Swingman Gael Hulsen (193-90, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in United Kingdom), who plays in the British BBL was not able to help the league outsider Liverpool Mersey Tigers (0-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Liverpool Mersey Tigers was crushed 79-40 on the road by the leading Leicester Riders.
Hulsen was the top scorer with 13 points. He also added 3 steals.
This season Hulsen has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 2.8rpg and 3.0apg.
He is a former U20 international player as he played for the Belgian team three years ago.
#7. U20 international point guard Retin Obasohan (185-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Villanova University crushing them 77-55 in the NCAA last Friday.
Obasohan scored 7 points in 17 minutes.
The The University of Alabama has conference record this season.
Obasohan has reliable stats this year: 11.3ppg, 2.8rpg and 3.0apg in the eight games.
He is also Belgian U20 national team player.
#8. Forward Thomas De Thaey (203-91, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the N.Carolina St. in their game against the Oklahoma State University (0-0) in the NCAA.
He recorded 5 points in 15 minutes.
The N.Carolina St. was badly defeated 76-56 in Stillwater, OK by the Oklahoma State University.
De Thaey averaged so far 11.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.8apg and 2.4spg in the nine games.

#1.Tyler Haws (196-G, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the BYU in their last game on Friday. Despite Haws' very good performance the BYU was badly defeated 88-70 on the road by the Florida State University.
He scored 23 points, grabbed 9 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls.
Haws is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in BYU's roster.
Haws' overall stats this season are: 9.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg.
#2. Experienced Ryan Hoover (187-PG-74, agency: SportsTalent, college: Notre Dame, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) was not able to help Fileni BPA Jesi (3-4) in their last game. Despite his good performance Fileni BPA Jesi lost 78-83 at home to the league outsider (#15) Upea CdO.
Hoover recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in 34 minutes.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
Hoover is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league with 3.9apg.
This year he also averages: 10.7ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.6spg in the seven games he played so far.
Hoover is a naturalized American.
Strangely he has never played in Belgium.
#3.Douglas Tshomba (201-F-83, college: Tusculum, currently plays in France) led JA Vichy to a victory over the tenth-ranked Monaco (3-4) 79-65 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game.
Tshomba was the best player in that game. He scored 17 points in 28 minutes.
JA Vichy Val d'Allier Auvergne basket (5-4) is placed sixth in the NM1.
But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.
This year Tshomba has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.3spg in the four games.
#4.Ronrico White (190-G-92, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Tennessee Temple University (2-6) crushing them 88-53 in the NCAA on Monday night.
He recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 20 minutes.
The Univ.of Tennessee - Chattanooga has conference record this season.
This year White's overall stats are: 5.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.3spg in the four games.
He is a naturalized American.
Strangely White has never played in Belgium.
#5.Christopher Jones (186-G-90, currently plays in Luxembourg) was not able to secure a victory for Contern (4-5) in their game against Soleuvre (3-6) in the Luxembourg Diekirch League. Despite his very good performance on Sunday night Jones scored 14 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
Jones is currently first on the list of most steals.
He has very reliable stats this season: 11.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.8apg and 2.4spg.
Jones has a dual citizenship: Belgian and Luxembourg.

The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Ninane is placed at 10th position in Belgian Top Division I. Ninane is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-12 record. In the team's last game Lhoest had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Ninane, through which he has constantly improved. Francois Lhoest has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.8ppg), assists (6th best: 3.3apg) and averages impressive 53.5% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Sam Hemeleers (180-G-95) of Gistel Oostende. Hemeleers had a very good evening with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Gistel Oostende to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Waregem (#2, 15-6) 86-64. This victory allowed Gistel Oostende to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 13th position in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Gistel Oostende managed to get this year. Hemeleers is well-known at Gistel Oostende and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.
Third on the list of top players last round was center Mark De Meyer (194-C-88) of Oxaco (#3). De Meyer scored 21 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Oxaco, leading his team to a 92-68 easy win against the lower-ranked RPC Anderlecht (#12, 6-14). Oxaco needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 6 lost games. De Meyer has a very solid season. In 19 games in Belgium he scored 11.0ppg. He also has 5.5rpg and and 3PT: 42.0%.
