Antwerp Giants closed the Round with overtime win over Telekom Baskets. The Belgian side handed the hosts their first 82:78 loss and remained alive for Last 16 round.
Telekom Baskets entered the game undefeated and started with 24-21 lead. Antwerp Giants meanwhile replied with 18-16 in the second frame and reduced to 1 point at the halftime. The teams exchanged the victories in the third and the fourth period and Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann (208-C-90, agency: Court Side) sent the teams to overtime at 69:69. Antwerp Giants looked better in overtime and led almost for the whole time. The last points the teams scored for the free throw line as Timothy Black (178-PG-81, agency: Limelight Hoops, college: Barton, NC), Biggs and Bryan Hopkins (183-G-83, college: SMU) ensured the 4-point road win at the end.
Bryan Hopkins top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Gregg Thondique (201-F-87, agency: FCM, college: Virginia Union) collected 16 points and 16 rebounds. Timothy Black notched 13, while Maxime De Zeeuw (205-PF-87) added 9. Robert Vaden (196-G/F-85, college: UAB) replied with 19 points in the losing effort and Patrick Ewing Jr. (203-F-84, college: Georgetown) had 17. Jared Jordan (188-PG-84, college: Marist) tossed in 14 and Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann produced 10.
