Taylor's 26 points and 6 assists give him Player of the Week award - Dec 16, 2012

Fabien
Herard
30-year old guard Quincy Taylor (196-G-82) had a great game in the last round for league's best team M.Hainaut and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 26 points adding three rebounds and six assists for M.Hainaut in his team's victory, helping them to beat Leuven (#7, 3-6) 90-76. It allowed M.Hainaut to take over top position in the Belgian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. M.Hainaut has a very solid 6-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Taylor had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at M.Hainaut, through which he has constantly improved. University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate has very impressive stats this year. Taylor is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.6ppg), assists (9th best: 3.0apg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 51.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Wen Boss Mukubu (198-F-83, agency: SportsTalent) of Liege. He is naturalized DR Congolese forward in his first season at Liege. In the last game Mukubu recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Liege was edged by slightly higher-ranked Oostende (#4, 5-4) 86-85. This loss caused Liege to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Mukubu is a newcomer at Liege and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#6). He also registered 6.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Timothy Black (178-PG-81, agency: Limelight Hoops) of Antwerp (#6). Black scored 23 points and passed nine assists. He was a key player of Antwerp, leading his team to a 83-72 win against the higher-ranked Aalstar (#2, 6-3). The chances of Antwerp ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Black could help Antwerp to bring them higher in the standings. Black has a very solid season. In 3 games in Belgium he scored 12.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mario Stojic (198-G/F-80) of Oostende - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Ryan Thompson (198-G-89) of Aalstar - 19 points and 6 rebounds
6. Ian Hanavan (202-F-80) of Leuven - 19 points and 6 rebounds
7. Niels Marnegrave (191-PG-87) of Leuven - 17 points and 4 assists
8. Josh Bostic (196-F-87) of M.Hainaut - 23 points
9. Wesley Wilkinson (207-PF-84) of Oostende - 16 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Matt Lojeski (198-G-85) of Oostende - 15 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
