The most exciting game of round 12 in the Division I took place in Sint Katelijne. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Sint Kateline Waver (7-5) to eighth ranked Castors Braine (6-6) 67-66 on Sunday evening. Castors Braine forced 19 Sint Kateline Waver turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Sint Kateline Waver helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Mia Fisher (175-82, college: UCSB) who scored 18 points and 4 steals. Hungarian center Katalin Kurtozi (193-81, college: St.John's, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Sara Leemans (178-88) who recorded 19 points and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Castors Braine have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Willebroek. Sint Kateline Waver at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Point Chaud. Castors Braine is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Houthalen (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Sint Kateline Waver will play against Basket Groot (#6) in Willebroek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Houthalen managed to get a second victory, breaking the seven-game losing streak. This time they edged sixth-ranked Basket Groot 77-76. It was a good game for forward Wendy Bas (186-86) who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Nathalie Smolders contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Katrien Vercauteren (169-84) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds for Basket Groot. Houthalen (2-10) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Blue Cats. Basket Groot at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Castors Braine. Houthalen will play against higher ranked Castors Braine (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Basket Groot will play against Sint Kateline Waver where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
Leader Kangoeroes-B. delivered the eleventh victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Point Chaud (7-5) 92-78 in Sprimont. Worth to mention a quality performance of Janelle Bekkering who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Noemie Mayombo with 30 points and 6 rebounds. Kangoeroes-B. (11-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser Point Chaud dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Sint Katelijne. Kangoeroes-B. will meet at home Jeugd Gentson (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Point Chaud will play against Blue Cats (#11) in Ieper and hope to secure a win.
The game in Charleroi was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Declercq Stortbeton (10-2) played at the court of 7th ranked R.Spirou Monceau (5-7). Declercq Stortbeton's next round opponent will be Belfius Namur (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. R.Spirou Monceau will play against Tulikivi (#10) in Deerlijk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Namur. Local Belfius Namur (10-2) outscored 9th ranked Tulikivi (3-9) 89-60 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Laurence Van Malderen who scored 22 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Belfius Namur moved-up to second place, which they share with Waregem. Loser Tulikivi keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Belfius Namur will face league's second-placed Declercq Stortbeton in Waregem in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tulikivi will play at home against R.Spirou Monceau (#8) in Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 12 Blue Cats was defeated by Jeugd Gentson in a road game 71-61.

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Jeugd Gentson and 10th ranked Blue Cats had identical 2-9 record. This time Jeugd Gentson used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ieper 71-61 on Saturday night. Jeugd Gentson made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game.
