   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Axel Hervelle (205-83, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in a Gescrap BB's victory against the 12th-ranked UCAM Murcia (6-8) crushing them 98-75 in the Spanish ACB in Wednesday night's game. Hervelle recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 20 minutes on the court. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (10-4) is placed fourth in the ACB. This year Hervelle averages: 8.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 62.1%(54-87) and FT: 84.2% in the 14 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Belgian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. Van Rossom could not help CAI Zaragoza (8-6) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance CAI Zaragoza was defeated 79-70 on the road by the league outsider Lagun Aro GBC (#18). Van Rossom was the top scorer with 14 points. He also added 5 rebounds. Van Rossom's overall stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.9apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 58.1%(25-43) and FT: 88.2%. He is in the roster of the Belgian senior national team.

   #3. The Belgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international guard Marcus Faison (196-78, college: Siena, currently plays in Georgia). Faison led Armia to a victory over the eighth-ranked Batumi (3-7) crushing them 99-76 in the Georgian Superleague on Wednesday night. He was MVP of the game. Faison recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes. BC Armia Tbilisi (8-2) is placed second in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Faison's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 8.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 36.0%, 3FGP: 55.6%(20-36) and FT: 68.8% in the 10 games. Faison is a naturalized American. He played for the Belgian national team one years ago. Faison used to play for TEC Spirou Charleroi in Belgian league.

Shooting guard Jonathan Tabu (184-85, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Mapooro Cantu to win against the 13th-ranked Sutor Montegranaro (3-9) crushing them 100-79 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. He scored 5 points. Mapooro Cantu (8-4) is placed fourth in the SerieA. Tabu has relatively good stats this season: 11.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg. He is also Belgian national team player.

Former international center Aleksander Lichodzijewski (202-84, currently plays in Poland) contributed to Polpharma's victory against the league outsider Rosa Radom (3-11) 83-73 in the Polish TBL on Saturday night. Lichodzijewski recorded only 4 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. SKS Polpharma-Pakmet Starogard Gd. (4-9) is placed ninth in the TBL. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. Lichodzijewski's total stats this season are: 4.7ppg and 3.7rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Belgian and Polish. Lichodzijewski used to play for the Belgian national team four years ago.

   #6. Swingman Gael Hulsen (193-90, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in United Kingdom) was not able to help the league outsider Liverpool Mersey Tigers (0-15) in their game against Glasgow Rocks (8-7) in the British BBL, despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game. He was the top scorer with 22 points in 33 minutes. But the bottom-ranked Liverpool Mersey Tigers was crushed 109-72 in Glasgow by the higher-ranked (#6) Rocks. So far Liverpool Mersey Tigers lost all fifteen games in the Regular Season. This year Hulsen has relatively solid stats: 11.4ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.6apg in the 14 games. He is a former U20 international player as he played for the Belgian team three years ago.

   #7. U20 international point guard Retin Obasohan (185-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the one of league's weakest teams Alabama in their game against the Mercer University (0-0) in the NCAA. He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Obasohan scored only 3 points. The Alabama was defeated 66-59 at home by the Mercer University. Obasohan has reliable stats this season: 10.7ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg. He is also Belgian U20 national team player.


The list of other players, who all have Belgian passport but never been selected to any of Belgian national teams:

   #1. Tyler Haws (196-G, currently plays college basketball in the States) led BYU to an easy victory against the Eastern New Mexico University (3-9) crushing them 95-62 in the NCAA last Tuesday. Haws recorded 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 26 minutes. The Brigham Young University has conference record this season. Haws is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in BYU's roster. This season he has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg in the 12 games he played so far.

   #2. Douglas Tshomba (201-F-83, college: Tusculum, currently plays in France) led JA Vichy to a victory over the 13th-ranked Union Rennes (4-9) 59-46 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. Tshomba was the best player in that game. He scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. JA Vichy Val d'Allier Auvergne basket (10-4) is placed second in the NM1. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Tshomba has reliable stats this season: 12.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg.

   #3. Ronrico White (190-PG-92, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the Chattanooga (0-1) to beat the Mercer University. He scored 7 points and added 5 passes in 32 minutes. The Chattanooga (#16) lost 53-63 at home to the Mercer University. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. White has reliable stats this year: 12.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg in the nine games. He is a naturalized American. Strangely White has never played in Belgium.

   #4. Experienced Ryan Hoover (187-PG-74, agency: SportsTalent, college: Notre Dame, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Fileni BPA Jesi to win against the third-ranked Tuscany Pistoia (8-3) 74-72 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. He scored only 4 points. Fileni BPA Jesi (4-7) is placed 11th in the Lega2. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. Hoover has reliable stats this season: 10.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.8apg and 2.0spg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Hoover has never played in Belgium.

   #5. Julien Rahier (193-G-83, currently plays in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss LNA was not able to help Starwings (3-10) in their last game. Despite his good performance Starwings was crushed 102-68 on the road by the higher-ranked (#4) Fribourg. Rahier was the top scorer with 14 points in 22 minutes. Rahier has reliable stats this year: 10.7ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg in the three games.

   #6. Christopher Jones (186-G-90, currently plays in Luxembourg) was not able to secure a victory for Contern in their game against Amicale in the Luxembourg Diekirch League, despite his good performance in Saturday night's game. Jones scored 10 points, had 5 boards, passed 4 assists and added 5 steals in 33 minutes. But his team lost 74-86. Jones is ranked first on the list of the most steals in the league with 2.9spg. He also averaged so far 11.5ppg, 5.8rpg and 3.3apg in the 14 games. Jones has a dual citizenship: Belgian and Luxembourg.

There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. The game between Top Four teams took place in Oostende. First ranked host Oostende (22-4) defeated second-ranked Antwerp Giants (17-9) 72-64.
