Sissoko
Experienced Mali Djenebou Sissoko (185-F/C-82) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Belfius Namur and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 30-year old power forward had a double-double of 22 points and eighteen rebounds, while her team crushed Waregem (#3, 10-3) with 23-point margin 77-54. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Belfius Namur is placed at 2nd position in Belgian Division I. They are still close to the very top. Belfius Namur would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 11-2 record. Sissoko turned to be Belfius Namur's top player in her first season with the team. Union University, TN graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sissoko is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.3ppg) and rebounds (2nd best: 11.9rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American guard Mia Fisher (175-G-82) of Castors Braine. Fisher impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course she lead Castors Braine to another comfortable win 74-58 over the lower-ranked Houthalen (#12, 2-11) being unquestionably team leader. Castors Braine's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fisher is a newcomer at Castors Braine and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Belfius Namur's star - American Julie Wojta (183-G/F-89, agency: LBM Management). Wojta showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. She was another key player of Belfius Namur, helping her team with a 77-54 easy win against #3 ranked Waregem in a game of the week. Belfius Namur is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 11-2 record is not that bad... Wojta has a great season in Belgium. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.2ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 11.2rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Julie Allemand (173-PG-96) of Point Chaud - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Noemie Mayombo (170-PG-91) of Point Chaud - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Melissa Dennett (188-F-83) of Waregem - 21 points and 7 rebounds
7. Erica Davis (191-C-85) of Point Chaud - 11 points and 10 rebounds
8. Inge Op De Beeck (177-F-85) of Willebroek - 19 points and 5 rebounds
9. Hind Ben Abdelkader (170-PG-95) of Sint Katelijne - 25 points and 8 rebounds
10. Antonia Delaere (171-SG-94) of Kangoeroes-B. - 18 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
