Experienced Eli Van Aken (193-F-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Gembo BBC and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Top Division I Player of the Week award for round 17. The 31-year old forward had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Gembo BBC in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Ekeren (#13, 3-12) with 37-point margin 111-74. Gembo BBC is placed at 2nd position in Belgian Top Division I. They are still close to the very top. Gembo BBC would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 13-3 record. In the team's last game Van Aken had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Gembo BBC, through which he has constantly improved. Eli Van Aken averages this season 15.1ppg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Tim Lambrecht (206-C/F-98, agency: Court Side) of Gistel Oostende. This victory allowed Gistel Oostende to move up to 12th position in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Gistel Oostende managed to get this year.
