Matt Walsh
Just when it looked like Belgacom Spirou Charleroi finally had it's team together for the rest of the season the recent news of the departure of Matt Walsh (197-F/G-82, college: Florida) sets them back in their quest for another championship. Eurobasket Belgium got confirmation that the Ethias league's leading scorer Matt Walsh is headed to Germany where he is to sign with Brose Baskets Bamberg. After 15 games in the Belgian league Matt Walsh is the scoring leader with 18.9 ppg and also leads the league in rebounds with close to 10 rpg. Add to that the 3.5 apg and he may well have been on his way to the Ethias league MVP.

They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Antwerp will need more victories to...   [read more]

In a short release published on the club's official website last week, the VOO Wolves Verviers-Pepinster staff announced that the club will not request a licence to the EuroMillions Basketball League for the 2017-18 season.
