Marcus
Faison
BK Grodno-93 (Premier League) tabbed 35-year old Belgian ex-international (has also Belgian nationality) guard Marcus Faison (196-90kg-78, college: Siena). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Faison played recently at Esteghlal in Iranian Superleague. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries this year (!!!). Faison also played at Armia (Superleague) in Georgia earlier that season. In 10 games this season he averaged 8.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.0spg. He also played 6 games in EuroChallenge where he had 6.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.2apg. The last summer Faison played at Petron Blaze (PBA) in Filipino league. In 5 games he had very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg. The other team he played that season for was Kryvbasbasket (Superleague) in Ukraine. In 13 games last season he had 8.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg. Another team Faison played that season for was VOO Verviers-Pepinster (Ethias League) in Belgium. In 11 games he had 10.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg.
The previous (10-11) season he played at Base Oostende (Ethias League) in Belgium. In 32 games that year he had 8.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg. He helped them to make it to the cup final and to the league semifinals. Faison also played 14 games in EuroChallenge where he had 7.6ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals.
In 2000 Faison was drafted by Pennsylvania (USBL) in sixth round (59th overall).
The former Siena College staris in his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Faison's team won Ukrainian Superleague Regular Season in 2008. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Honorable Mention award back in 2008. Faison represented Belgium at the European Championships in Lithuania two years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 8.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.6apg, FGP: 27.3%, 3PT: 45.5%, FT: 75.0%.
Faison is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany, Greece (Peristeri GS Athens), Spain (Unicaja Malaga), Turkey (Besiktas) and Ukraine (Dnipro and BC Kyiv).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at BK Grodno-93.
Let's have closer look into Faison's outlook: Very athletic player who has been called upon to utilize that ability. Has played both the point and off guard spot during his time at Siena. An excellent penetrator who has the ability to create his own shot when he gets into the lane. Very dangerous player on the break.

31-year old power forward Francois Lhoest (196-F/C-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ninane and receives a Eurobasket.com Top Division I Player of the Week award for round 18. He had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Royal Brussels (#9, 7-10) 88-83.
