Top ranked Base Oostende (14-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (13-7) 69-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Base Oostende. Base Oostende was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Justin Cage (198-85, college: Xavier, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Brent Wright (203-78, college: Florida) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Base Oostende's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to third place, which they share with Aalstar. Defending champion Base Oostende still keeps top position with six games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut is looking forward to face bottom-ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Base Oostende will play against Okapi Aalstar (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Verviers was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Okapi Aalstar (13-7) played at the court of 8th ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (4-16). Okapi Aalstar managed to secure a 8-point victory 94-86. American Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!). Ryan Thompson contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA) replied with 25 points for VOO Verviers-Pepinster. VOO Verviers-Pepinster's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Okapi Aalstar moved-up to third place, which they share with M.Hainaut. VOO Verviers-Pepinster at the other side stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against league's leader Base Oostende at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. VOO Verviers-Pepinster will play against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#3) in Quaregnon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Antwerp. Local Antwerp Giants (10-10) outscored 6th ranked Leuven Bears (6-13) 89-66 on Thursday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Timothy Black who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Niels Marnegrave responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Antwerp Giants maintains fifth position with 10-10 record. Loser Leuven Bears keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. Antwerp Giants will meet Liege Basket (#7) in the next round. Leuven Bears will play against the league's second-placed Spirou Charleroi and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 20 Liege were defeated by Spirou in Charleroi 77-65.

Spirou - Liege 77-65

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Liege Basket (6-14) was defeated on the road by second ranked Spirou Charleroi (13-6) 77-65 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 27-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Spirou Charleroi forced 20 Liege Basket turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Sacha Massot (205-83, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Spirou Charleroi players scored in double figures. Spirou Charleroi's coach Giovanni Bozzi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International forward Wen Boss Mukubu (198-83, college: UAB, agency: SportsTalent) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Andre Williamson (200-89, college: Appalachian St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Spirou Charleroi have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-6 record behind leader Oostende. Liege Basket lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Spirou Charleroi will meet Leuven Bears (#6) on the road in the next round. Liege Basket will play against Antwerp Giants and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game in Verviers was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Okapi Aalstar (13-7) played at the court of 8th ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (4-16). Okapi Aalstar managed to secure a 8-point victory 94-86. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-21. But VOO Verviers-Pepinster won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Okapi Aalstar shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!). The other American import guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. American point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA) replied with 25 points and Serbian power forward Nemanja Aleksandrov (210-87) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for VOO Verviers-Pepinster. The game with biggest result difference took place in Antwerp. Local Antwerp Giants (10-10) outscored 6th ranked Leuven Bears (6-13) 89-66 on Thursday night. The game without a history. Antwerp Giants led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Antwerp Giants forced 20 Leuven Bears turnovers and outrebounded them 32-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Timothy Black (178-81, college: Barton, NC, agency: Limelight Hoops) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Roel Moors (190-78) who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. International point guard Niels Marnegrave (191-87) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American forward Ian Hanavan (202-80, college: Evansville, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds.
